I'm a ST holder in the Kop, but last season tended to go in the South Stand where the atmosphere was a lot more spontaneous. Only ever been in the East and West a couple of times, and the view's great, but the sun gets right in your eyes in the East and the vocal support for the team in the West is... well... non-existent. The prices for those side stands are also exorbitant considering you can see the game perfectly well from the ends. Which stand do you prefer to go in at Elland Road?
Used to prefer going in the south stand when the away fans were in the SE corner, but definitely prefer kop now as it has the added benefit of being able to stand for 90 minutes.
When the away fans were in the corner, it was great to either be right in the edge of the East/Family Stand or the South stand. But the chanting/standing in the North is the best. I've sat in the West only once, when I got free tickets, and the atmosphere is non existent. Best atmosphere I've experienced at ER was against Millwall in the playoffs a few seasons ago, sat in Upper Tier East.
