Cork holds a fair mid week card tomorrow. I'll be interested to see how Tarla gets on against Rebel Fitz. Clearly a grade one horse she is not but she won this last year and gets to carry 7lbs less than Rebel Fitz so most of the 8lb rating difference is taken care of. She's fit. RF might need the run. I'm not sure whether I'll bet her but 15/8 seems fair to me in a race she might just run away with. Killer Crow will win the bumper. Forecast 13/8. That won't be available but if he opens around evens it's a proper punt job.
Killer Crow could well be different gear in that bumper but at more generous odds (presumably) Celtic Silver's debut was in one of the hottest bumpers run this year. The form of that Naas race was franked in none other than the Cheltenham bumper with the 2nd and 3rd from it coming out of the Naas race in which Celtic Silver finished seventh. Henry de Bromhead's horse (who finished 4th in Naas) won at Down Royal in a hack canter on St Patrick's Day. This is most definitely a hot little bumper and whoever wins it, I'd bet will end up in one of the classy Punchestown Festival bumpers.
You are right Beefy. I did the analysis when Royal Riviera ran the other week about the strength of that bumper. Still think Killer Crow wins though. Listen to the pod. Patrick's on it this week.
Yeah listened to it Bob. Plenty in racing could learn plenty about being magnanimous in defeat from young Patrick. Really nice bloke, was really impressed by him.
I agree. I was taken aback to be honest. He didn't look for excuses for the ones that lost. Likes Faugheen as much as Vautour and confirmed both go chasing next year. Sad to hear Briar Hill broke his cheekbone in the fall.
If BIG NEWS 4-1 cannot win the 2.55 today then they best sell it! Most unusual for me to have an Irish horse in my tracker but TRUE ICON 5.00 Cork 33-1 is in there under the banner "needs a trip". Follow this at your peril. Two very interesting newcomers attracting support, GUSTY ROCKY and INVESTMENTSUCCESS, cannot decide which i would prefer for an each way dabble!
Any one shed any light why Queally is riding more frequent than Andrew Mullen for the Mick Appleby yard?
Its one hell of a funny race that stick and personally I couldnt justify a normal bet but as I spent some time on it I have put a few hard earned pennies on the tin pot man.
Dividend dan looksto have a very good chance Rank outsider lily edge could well be in the mix at the end ew
Cheers Beefy. Job done. You've got to be massively impressed by that performance. They were queuing up to beat him 3 out but he dismissed them really takingly. Proper horse. Proper punt landed.
Expected more from dividend dan than that but lily definitely outrun the odds no prizes though , bloody sand
