    This is a long shot.

My Mrs has booked 2 tickets to see The Proclaimers in Scarborough in June.
However the silly bastards somehow booked the hotel for this Thursday the 28th January.
The hotel won't refund our money because we booked it within one week of travelling.

The hotel is called The Grand Spa, its four star and cost us £77.50.
Does anyone on here fancy a romantic winters day/night in Scarborough?

I'll let you have it for £40.

    Thanks.

Can you throw in a return flight ? Wonder if that lass who I met in '64 is still there ? "Sand gets everywhere" is the title to a song I've been composing for all those years.

Quick update, I put the room on eBay and there's plenty of interest.
I would of gone anyway, but we can't get a babysitter, and I work nights so its out the question.

Whoever asked if my Mrs was thrown in on the deal, for 2 sticks of rock I could arrange that.
You haven't seen her, I met her in a power cut. She's got a face like quasi modos aresehole!

My last accommodation in Scarborough cost 30 bob a week in a tiny attic room in a boarding house where 4 Hull students shared 2 double beds. We all worked a summer season in 1957 at a local fish restaurant -well until I was sacked but immediately re-employed on the same pay,as a waiter at the boarding house.
Loved the Saturday night dances at the Scarborough Spa.

Also noted the future shows listed at the thread venue. Feb 4th features the Russian State Ballet. They certainly get around-we saw them a couple of months ago at the Penrith Leagues Club(Sydney).

Would that be Cybill Shepherd or Jodie Foster, though?
