Thursday night games.........it feels like 2007 again

    Well playing on a Thursday night reminds me of the UEFA cup games where we would go to the arse end of no-where and get a slim result. I guess people are hoping that the same applies tonight :)

    At least its on telly, I remember in the early rounds of the UEFA cup there was nothing! Streaming hadn't even been invented back then!

    I remember never going into college on a friday as I had got so pissed watching us on the Thursday nights!!! those were the days!!!

    I remember watching on channel 5 Stevie Taylor's first goal followed by Forrest Gump celebration against Celta Vigo.

    Quite liked that team we had under Roeder. It was a shame Allardyce took over and filled it with ****e like Geremi, Smith, Cacapa, etc who eventually got us relegated.

    Great days, remember them oh so well. My Thursday's at uni were alcohol, girls, drugs, and Newcastle in a blue away kit. Great days.

    I didn't pull every Thursday. Sometimes i just had a **** in a bucket and threw it in someones room. Almost the same as shagging, right?

    Ah, the ole UEFA Cup days *sniff sniff*

    I remember the horrid Sporting Lisbon game. Never have I been so infuriated by a game in my life.

    We were talkin about this last night. I was in the gate watching the Lisbon game when Dyer put us ahead, he skidded on his knees screaming and pulling the shirt as he celebrated.... Then they ****ing spanked four goals past us.

    I was thinking, it'll be 5 years in October when Tim Krul had that amazing game against Palermo where Luque scored!

    Losing the return leg was one of the most heart breaking games I'd ever watched.

    But nowhere near as bad as ****ing Sporting Lisbon away. I cried that night.

    Really felt we could have won it had we progressed.

    That's just scary (and not the Luque goal!), Krul still looks like a boy! I can't believe that's 5 years, man!

    I remember being at middle school at the time trying to sleep thursday night, with my dad and uncles drinking shouting and cheering and even getting me out of bed to celebrate with them, Nutters haha
