As far as Winter and Enable are concerned, I'd be suprised if we ever see them clash.

I think Enable is an out and out 1m4 horse, whereas I feel 1m4 would be to far for Winter.

If we are going to go down the who's run to the highest rating, then you'd have to say Enable, I think she's shown a little more authority over her rivals, but then again it's easier to win 1m4 races by large margins than it is 1m races.

I don't think it's fair to start ripping the form up of Winters run today though. There is a reason why so many favourites get beat in today's conditions, so after what she had already achieved, any type of victory on that ground today would have impressed me. I'd be interested to see her over 10 furlongs in less extreme ground conditions.

Super performance by Winter. Trip and conditions not ideal and Moore just cajoled his way, couldn't have gave her an easier time of it in fact. He deserves credit for the ride on more than a winning level but in terms of how he looked after her too, knowing she would win just tipping along up the straight.
The lads will no doubt apply a nice bonus to the man's bank account and rightly so.

Enable will never run at any trip shorter than a mile and a half so doubt it will happen. It's speed vs stamina, the best miler vs the best middle distance. Only a race over 10 furlongs would be of interest. There is a small possibility of Winter running in the Arc if Coolmores colts don't prove up to scratch. Winter doesn't strike me as wanting more than a mile but her class got her through it today. If they didn't have Churchill she would definitely be aimed at the QE2.

I'm not sure I agree about the trip with Winter, even though I wasn't sure beforehand looking at her pedigree, I think she stayed the trip strongly enough to suggest she could be just as effective at 10 furlongs.

Let's not forget it was very heavy conditions today, so if she was ever going to have problems staying the trip it was going to be today.

I think Winter might end up running in the Champion Stakes, though I don't think this would have anything to do with her playing second fiddle to Churchill. After all why would she need to play second fiddle, Churchill is the horse who flopped LTO, so he's the horse with it all to prove.

I still think Churchill will be tried at 10 furlongs aswell anyways before the season ends.

So who knows what horse will go for what at Ascot. They still might have Minding to come back too, so they could be mob handed in 1 of the races.

Shout Beefy. Got up on the line to take the honours. 3 fallers at the first fence all missed by Scahill. To be fair he did mention the departure of one of them but it took him until halfway through the race. He's a shocking commentator.

I swear he's only being kept on as some kind of sick joke, he's been gone at the game the last few seasons. Dunno how many big races he's called completely wrong during that time but there's at least two big handicaps he's done it in, those Gigginstown caps completely ruin him <doh> <laugh>
