Boys, not horse related but i'm going to a Food Festival this weekend in Skipton with my wine company, Squashed Grape Wine. The online operation isn't up and running yet but this gives us our first chance to sell my wines and i'm bubbling over. If anyone's going from the forum then pop over and say hello. You can meet my lovely wife and i'll do a NOT606 discount if you say the magic phrase, BANG BANG.
No way Bob is bang bang going? He's been dead for forty years, anyway good luck with your wine business I'm just about to crack open a nice Gavi de Gavi Cheers.
Is the forum balls deep on Super Story tomo?!!I'm going to have a decent Ew cut at 9/2 as I can't see him being out of the top three.Horse goes well fresh and Skelton is bang on in form with a few nice winners at Utoxy recently. Got good word for Bel Sas in 4.05 so having a decent punt 11/4.Only negative is that Cooper is on it
Very interested to see how Taglietelle goes on chase debut at Galway, with one eye on the upcoming NH season. A very smart staying hurdler, if he takes to fences he will taking some beating here. Mind you, the 5/2 on offer makes very little appeal in a 19-runner beginners chase
3.10 Goodwood- Pallasator 7/1 ew Bloody love this huge horse! He is an absolute beast! Has shown some what he really is capable of doing this year esp when winning the Henry II stakes at sandown beating the likes of Max Dynamite that was on similar ground to what is expected tomorrow, last time out you could say he was unlucky got bumped and didn't have a clear run, lost momentum but he did run on very strongly in the end which shows tenacity and aslong he gets a clear run I cannot see him out the top 3 and really fancy him for the win!
So is Superb Story the forum horse for tomorrow I do have a small wager on Silver Concorde AP but after today's performance I won't be going in again!
Annoyingly my link to the Superb Story info is on holiday until next week so i don't know, its his dad who is best friends with the owner!! I would imagine it will go well though, its highly thought of. Tough race though and **** value at 9/2 but should win
Bottom weight Rashaan in the Galway Hurdle could go well at a massive price. I'm sure his last run was just a pipe-opener and he will be spot on for this. Running here off 133 he could make a mockery of that mark. Just a fancy though, still not betting
4:35 Nottingham, Newark trainer Appleby has Eurystheus 14/1, owned by a syndicate in Derbyshire and had a word to keep an eye out last w/e. Will be a small e/w punt for me
Goodwood 2:00 - Scarlet Dragon 11/1 (breaking one of my golden rules of betting and backing a horse on a hatrick) & Zhui Feng 14/1 3:10 - Quest For More 7/1 & Wicklow Brave 14/1 4:55 - Challow 11/1 5:30 - Lathom 9/1 Highlighted ones in ew lucky 15, ew single on WB and ZF reverse forecast in both races. Also in the 2:35 the favourite looks very good but i'm taking a chance on Mehmas @ 7/2
3.10 - Big Orange - cant see him out of the frame and really think he will win In the hurdle like the look of Desoto County if he gets in. Had a decent go on Gangsta's as well after seeing the effort he has gone to get in.
HIGH SHIELDS 2.00 Goodwood 8/1 Course and Distance winner but flopped over 12f at Ascot last time. Drop back in trip will suit and interesting to see Frankie getting the role of pilot. Yard bang in form and this one should go very well. One other at Goodwood that catches my eye is LADY IN QUESTION in the nursery. This filly is bloody gorgeous but got in right state at Newbury before the Super Sprint and really didnt run her race. She is better than that and if she keeps her cool tomorrow I see her running a huge race at a very nice price. Currently 14/1.
