In the Market Rasen bumper, isnt it a shame that UBETYA cannot add a K to his form figures!

NEVERBEEN TO PARIS 16/1 Wincanton 1:45

I like this horse a lot and fancied it to win at Cheltenham last time out. However, he got well and truly stuck in the mud and despite being backed into favourtism failed to deliver. Tomorrow he drops back in trip, is back down in grade and has better ground to race on. He was dropped a pound for that below par run but I am pretty confident the upward curve will return tomorrow.

Interesting Suzi Best sends Highway To Success to Wincanton for a conditional/amateur jockeys race and as a 3yo gets a nice big weight allowance. Looks on a very decent mark for his handicap debut based on his runs on the flat! Has a hood fitted so hope he can settle a little better tomorrow and as always with the stables runners, hope to see some support in the market before the off.

Anyone else worried about the form of Nicholls 5 winners from 51 runs not the most inspiring strike rate ahead of the big clash!

I don’t think the horses are all running badly so I think it’s that he doesn’t have the good horses out in the week at the minute. His two yesterday ran fine in races that just had better horses.

then Brelan D As and Politilogue both ran well at the weekend.

But as Rudey states, they are giving value for others in races.

The big question today is does Gunnery jump left again. If he doesn’t then he surely wins that handicap from a very fair mark.

Saw Sound Mixer’s debut at Newmarket a few weeks back. Drawn on the wrong side, she had the race won at 5f, unfortunately the race was a few furlongs further. A much better performance than it looked on paper she reappears over 5f at Newcastle today. Seems available at 7/1 and a solid ew bet.

Knock on effect from the Ruby boy packing in riding is that The Dazzler now gets on all the horses owned by the Munir / Suede axis that are barned with that chap I’ve never heard of. Bit of a kick in the old teeth for Paul Townend that decision.

Yep agreed - it’s not as if Jacob was worth an extra half stone or something. Probably part of rich owners ego boost to say they have their own jockey <doh>

Really heart-warming to see Footpad do that after a torrid time last season. The motor is intact and the swagger is back. Lots to look forward to with him and he wouldn't look out of place at Kempton on Boxing Day <ok>

    When’s ‘Boxing Day’???

Must say that looking at today’s front pages ‘The Metro’ have totally outdone ‘The Sun’. The latter was a very, very, very weak pun but the former had me guffawing for a good while.

I thought you were an avid reader of the Boxing thread, and would therefore know when their "day" is? Titter titter titter as they say.

That's worrying. I expected it to shorten.
