Fancy two animals tomorrow that can only be described as top top class.

    Thurles
2.10 Days Hotel 7/4 - Put yous on to this beast first time out this season and he didnt disappoint, just about my favourite horse in Ireland at the minute, hes an absolute monster and he just devours fences in that heavy ground. Serious, serious horse and I think he is a stonecold jailcase. Roi Du Mee is no mug, he is a horse I like a lot and he is a good jumper but he is in for a demoralising beating here, fair play to him tho for making sure we get a price about the jailcase.

3.10 Bonisland 7/2 - Another horse I like a lot, I was very impressed when he won at Down Royal and I thought he could be an Albert Bartlett horse but he did not appear to go on from that in his next two starts. Those werent bad races tho and I think the step back up in trip tomorrow will help, its another two horse race and the fav looks a very nice type himself, but it was an egg and spoon race he won last time and I wouldnt read too much into the Our Vinnie bumper form. Bonisland is getting a few pounds from him and at the likely prices, I have to give him another chance, but he is not a jailcase.

    Agree with Days Hotel Eddie.

Already mentioned him earlier on the Daily Thread as my only bet this week.

Like yourself I have been following him for a while and he still has bags of improvement in him.

what the donald duck is a jailcase? Seriously, I can get on board with terms such as recalcitrant, carrying condition and nailed on, but jailcase? Sounds more dogs than the sport of kings.

    What would Barney say?

A horse can only be one of two things Nass, a jailcase, or not a jailcase.

In all seriousness tho, I think it must be a glasgow word, obviously meaning goodthing/certainty/etc, think I was the only one who used it on here but then Toppy and Oddy started and I think I heard Steve Mellish use it on RUK today <laugh>

I think Peter O'Sullivan once called Arkle a jailcase ......................... the original text was "This great big twatter of an Irish chaser is a ****ing jailcase".

was it followed by "they should rename the race Kauto Star Novice Chase, because Arkle is a overrated SOAB?"

Come on Timeform make my year, regrade him to 190 <laugh>

    AppraiseForm - On twitter @AppraiseForm
    January Month to Date -1.77

BRICK RED 3.20 Winc - Won very easily at Ludlow 8 days ago and can follow up in what looks a weaker contest. 10/11 BOG
STAND GUARD 5.00 Wolv - top weight unlikely to deny this fella another course and distance win. No shows hoping will trade at around the 8/11 mark.

For staking plan follow on Twitter.

    Good luck those that indulge...

7.30 Wolves RISE TO GLORY 25-1 ridiculous price in my opinion, form much better than the figures would have you believe. Back to a mark it simply must run well off. I think he needs stronger handling than he has had in his recent runs, Robert Winston rides tomorrow and he has won on him in the past. The yard are also in good nick with a winner and a few placed horses in the last couple of weeks.

This will halve in price tomorrow!

    There ya go Nik

Very interesting one Stick. Below last winning mark, Winston takes over from apprentices, well drawn, stable amongst winners. Also, Winston hangs around for 3 hours after the first race for this one. Hopefully its a good sign in this basement event. This could easily start single figures.

Stickwise and ROTO both saying a 25/1 shot could go off single figures......its good enough for the trainer.
