Douvan returns at Clonmel - not expecting fireworks, just hope he has a nice spin round and some of the old spark is there.

Sporting Life dont even mention him in their first three predictions which tells a tale.Peter Fahey is a trainer I follow closely as I have a mate connected to the yard.He has a small enough operation but has been doing really well over both codes this year.He runs Peregrine Run in this but he's obviously up against it with both Douvan and Monalee in there but I'm hoping he puts in a good display. Defintely a trainer going places and one to keep an eye on.

They wouldn’t be continuing with Douvan unless he was showing something at home. I expect a massive performance today.

the bet though is in the last at Taunton. How many Nicholls juveniles get a mark in the 110s after winning second time up?

I would be worried about Peregrine Run if they have had overnight rain like here..and it's still raining this morning. Could be a different story over in Ireland I guess..but would want goodish ground.

I was quite taken by one of Richard Fahey's recently at cheltenham - Soviet Pimpernel's run behind Quel Destin at Cheltenham last month. Travelled in to that race well and i expect ground didn't suit so likely more to come..

Juveniles in handicap hurdles AGAIN. On a strict formline through Nordano, LIMELIGHTER has the beating of Sir Psycho.

I see they are running him at Taunton rather than the 1.15 at Cheltenham of the morrow. That Cheltenham race incidentally looks like it contains ‘more plots than an Agatha Christie novel’. Am awaiting the final ants, sorry decs, with keen anticipation…

I hope that today Tout Est Permis with his usual jockey make a fine race.
