Thanks for all the great messages guys. Just back from Newmarket and what a buzz. The racecourse looked after us really well too. The rain came as forecast and didn't hurt his chances either.
Rab said he pulled early and then when he went to the front he idled again just as he did at Windsor but he doesn't want to lose so battled back in time. The front two were both off 71 so we may get off lightly although they were a few lengths clear of the third. He is only going to keep on improving though we wont want to risk him on fast ground. We feel so lucky to have him and everyone involved is still convinced he will get even better.
Had you told us at the outset that we would be landing a touch in a Newmarket handicap with him we would have laughed our nuts off but there you go.
Hope plenty of you backed him and are in front!

Good luck to Harry tomorrow. He is very well and has to be backed at the price!

Looking at his pedigree and the way he won today you have to conclude that Squire could be be an even better horse over much longer trips in the future. His stamina really kicked in in the final half furlong to battle back past Ninety Minutes, and this was all after pulling hard early.

I would still stay at 10 furlongs for now, as going even slower over a longer trip would just light him up even more. But if one day, he learns to settle, I think he could really improve over 12 or 14 furlongs, maybe even further. He has loads of stamina in his pedigree

Thanks all for the kind words and glad so many of you were on. So so proud of our boy, he could easily have folded a furlong and a half out but came back like a true fighter.
Very positive vibes from Rab about him as stick says everyone thinks there is a lot more to come from him. Hopefully the handicapper is kind. Expect to see him in 3 weeks time or so.
Also hats of to Newmarket who treated stick and I so so well. Really nice vibe and we were very well looked after. Stick has a nice vase to show for Squires efforts!!.
Buzzing. Now excitement building for Harristown!!

Good luck stick. I hope he runs a cracker.

Timeform says
: Off the mark in a Windsor handicap last month, and stuck to task well when third at Kempton (1m) off this mark subsequently. However, not sure that step back up in trip here will be in his favour.

They might be wrong with this one. Stiff straight 10f on turf, wide galloping track. Get in.
YES! Congratulations <party><party><party>
