Typical Charlton fans. I heard that you were whacking old ladies and causing general mischief. Reprisals are coming, we will rain down upon you with fire and brimstone!!!! Lock up your daughters, cats, gardening tools - we are coming.
The words Pot Kettle and Black spring to mind. A moronic yob is a moronic yob whatever team he supports and we all want rid of them, right?
Pot Kettle and Black? Flares, seat throwing, you'll be calling yourselves ULTRAS soon. Millwall 0 - Crystal Palace Athletic 0
Your wish is my command.
Sadly I cannot see the funny side of having a thug like this amongst our support. It really does us no favours and will bring the away support into disrepute. It will ensure that we are escorted to and from grounds and don't get any cheap ticket offers for our away matches because they will be looking to cover the cost of the damage. Time for someone to identify the mindless halfwit and let him support community service for the next few years. Showoff, imitation is the sincerest from of flattery - feel flattered.
As I mentioned on another thread, Wall fans leave Charlton alone as they know that they don't come for trouble. That's why our derby is a family affair usually, unlike our neighbours the Nigels who come surrounded by Police shouting 'South London Is Ours' and generally acting the big man. However, things have changed and you're right, those mongs have now put the spotlight on you. As for feeling flattered, do you think I like to see fools chucking stuff and acting like ******s? If you want a slap then you'll find one, if you're not looking for one then you don't usually get one. All the time I went in the 80s when it was at its worst I NEVER saw a 'scarfer' get a slap. I saw PLENTY of 'firm vs firm' though. All those who caused trouble at the game will be on CCTV and will be getting an early morning call from OB.
Saw a Charlton fan break a chair at The Den back in 2010 when we lost 4-0, he didn't throw it towards the Charlton fans afterwards though, what is this mug doing?
Does anyone else here think that since we started doing well last season, we have attracted a few unsavoury types? I don't remember seeing any oolifans at Northwich
Halifax was last season wasn't it? Or was it the year before? Some awful crap sung there by some of the 100 or so away fans. Not sure if it could be heard on the TV. And weren't the Sheff Wed reprisals at Hillsborough last season in response to something that happened in Parky's Championship season?
I first noticed this influx of morons at the game against Leyton Orient last New Year's Eve - there were probably less than 100 of them, mostly very drunk but of no particular age or any other similarity. The language was well offensive, they were highly confrontational (even to fellow Addicks) and when they started singing the Kevin Lisbie song, the people who were turning round telling them to leave it out got abused and threatened. There were about 40 or so present at the Gillingham game pre-season, drunk and foul-mouthed to the extent that the stewards moved in with some tips on decorum (or something like that). They were back in force at Birmingham City for the first game of this season as well. I have no great love for Darren Ambrose, but some of the stuff I heard was disgraceful. We don't need these people, the seat wreckers, the flare throwers etc. - they serve no useful purpose. It would help if for a start we got this seat wrecker at Millwall identified and out of the club.
The abuse I got from mates at school the day after the Northwich game was torrid, wasn't it a binman who knocked us out?
After we'd lost 7-0 to Brighton a while back, a large bottle of a popular soft drink was left on my desk...
