Big Tom gone under the knife again and out for a while; http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/sep/28/tom-huddlestone-tottenham-ankle-operation thankfully we now have parker, sandro returning to fitness and Livermore coming through
I'm pretty disappointed about this, as I thought he'd do an excellent job for us in the cups while getting back up to speed. It's an area that we have a lot of options in at the moment though, so maybe it's better that he gets this out the way now. If he can come back fully fit for the second half of the season, then he'll give us a very useful option.
+1 bad news. I enjoy watching Hudd play. Its not always the right type of game for him, but when it is he's like a Rolls Royce
Agreed - against a top Italian or Spanish team he'd probably do a better job than Parker as his higher skill level would make up for his lower speed and energy
Although seeing him out for a chunk of the season isn't a good thing, it could actually work out for us in the long-run. When he's recovered from surgery and back to match fitness (as opposed to rushing him back PDQ, which we did last season), he can be used as an option from the bench before we give him some starts.
