They say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery and it now looks like Purse Dippers of Scouseland are to follow our model of buying players. No more splashing the cash for King Kenny( who ruined our team by the way). I dont think they will the first or last to look to us for guidance on how to run a football team. I cant believe how far the wheel has come full circle in regards to this. I just wish i could look inside Mr Enriques` head to see how feels now!!

Dalglish did not ruin our team. He was forced to sell players to balance the books. I'm not convinced he could have retained them all if he wanted to anyway. Certainly if you listen to Ginola, he was leaving for London regardless who was manager. He also signed most of the blue chip brigade who flourished under Robson. Speed, Given, Solano were all Dalglish players. He was on a hiding to nothing from day 1 with us anyway as he wasn't KK.

As for the Liverpool situation, again its not Kenny's fault the americans didn't know where to pitch in the English market. Dalglish just gave the list of players he wanted, then Comolli and the Americans did the rest. To be honest if you were of a suspicious mind, you might question the integrity of Comolli. Its not like he can claim he didn't know what the score was money wise here, given he'd already filled the same role at Spurs.

I'm not surprised Liverpool and many other are starting to follow our lead with FFP on the horizon. The myth that you must spend 30-40m plus to get to the top 6 has been well and truly exploded by ourselves.
