Nigel Pearson is a better manager than both McClaren and Sven GE; McClaren 1. Needs loads of cash see Middlesborough history 2. Inhability to see loan options as part of a management strategy 3. Ready to quit when going gets slightly tough. Sven 1. Entirely reliant on ready made talent 2. Unable to develop potential and talent in young players 3. Needs loads of cash 4. Will leave behind an agony set of players with no sell on value, a massive wage bill and no young talent coming through (Sound Familiar?) Nigel Pearson 1. Doesn't moan when inheriting old, disinterested, over paid players and no talent 2. Turns last season around with next to no investment 3. Intelligently used loan signings 4. Believes in young talent and ready to develop kids 5. Establishing a manageable wage structure 6. Establishing a talent pool Please feel free to add, disagree etc...
Sorry got carried away past three.. I know what and whose management strategy I prefer, and what's has and hasn't got longevity....
I agree with bar one point ; "Turns last season around with next to no investment" He bought Fryatt and Mclean in january and i know you said 'next to no investment' but still these were big signings for a club in our position
Agree. £2.5m on two players was hardly no investment, considering our other buys have been up to around £300k, or frees, with exception of Hobbs. Strikers always cost more, though, and £1.2m was alright for Fryatt, it's just a shame we spent way over the odds on McLean, we should have been looking at around £750k for him.
You like NP i get it but there a way too many holes in this arguement. Sven won the EUFA cup with Gothenburg before he was 35. Cant see them having many world stars. How do you know he was reliant on ready made talent at Benfica, Sampdoria etc Mclaren didnt have money in Holland, that was a fantastic achievement. The Quit rumuors he has just quashed as rubbish. He hasnt tried the loan market yet as he? At the moment the jury is still out on NP transfer judgement as far as Mclean is concerned and Hobbs. Both fair additions but paid way over the odds for them.

No doesnt moan, just gets rid of them (jimmy no talent) Point three. Gulasci , yeah thats VERY good use.
The Guardian: - Steve McClaren is to remain as Forest's manager, for the time being at least, after talks yesterday resolved the 50-year-old's frustrations over a lack of transfer activity. &c &c
If Mclaren doesnt get promotion i dont believe he is suddenly a poor or bad manager, in the same way i dont think NP is if we dont get promotion is all. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...en-ive-never-considered-quitting-2348281.html They have both achieved more than NP has.
Yes and he manages a club with no history compared to the other two. I know Forest hammer our history, but NP is managing a team that has spent most of it's time in the lower leagues... NEXT !

Sven won't go anywhere without deep pockets, Pearson is a better manager for a club in OUR position, Sven suits Leicester but won't work with the bare bones besides his salary must be at least double that of Nigel's, they're a spending club now, nuf said.
Oh yes you can, Benfica were found guilty of match fixing officials when beating Forest to eventually win the European cup in 82! Cheating eh Sven Nancy should have checked you're history
hmmm only 2 signed. and did np choose those players or where the reccomended by joyce? loan players mean ****.
Mannone, Gerrard, Guzan, Waghorn and Ayala weren't from Man United anyway. So what if Joyce recommended Evans and Stewart, we still made the choice to take them on and offer them contracts. Arsenal seemed happy to keep Mannone, Villa with Guzan and a new manager at Cardiff led Gerrard to try and get back into the Bluebirds plans and we were very close to signign Ayala had it not been for Premier League clubs siffing around. NP has used the loan maket well which we could see last season, you only have to look at Fraizer Campbell in our promotion season to see how influential and successful loan players are.
It's clear to me what Mclarens problem is, he spends to much time worrying about covering his balding bonce up with bizarre comb-overs and brollies these days instead of concentrating on football issues. He should get down to Rooneys hair grafter ASAP and get the full treatment, then maybe he will recover his management 'skills'.
