play Jet in the middle behind Baldock and Barnet. I reckon we will have a three pronged attack --------------------------Jet-------------------------------------------- -----------------Baldock--------- Barnet ------------------------------------
He has to get fit first. Like the idea of JET playing behind a front 2. Or could it be that Baldock and/or JET will leave in January. Time will tell.
3-4-1-2, Ozzie Osbourne Flint Williams Maloney/wagstaff Reid Pack Elliot Cunningham Jet barnet baldcock
This has no width or pace and would quickly get bogged down in midfield. I can see Barnett taking someones place in the attack, so maybe he is backup for Baldycock
I'm not having this - most on here said my mate Gillett was the answer. Yet none of you have picked him. And what about the fantastic Wagstaffe ?
'Parish Osborne---Flint---Williams Elliott Reid Pack Bryan JET Barnett Baldock' If Barnett is fit - best team selection. ps - Dear SC - don't change Pack for Gillett. pps - and leave Wagstaffe on the coach.
RP, if the EPost is right looks like Waggy & Gillett will be playing, Marv on the bench, trying to extend Gilletts loan, looks like SC likes the man, thoughts.
'trying to extend Gilletts loan, looks like SC likes the man, thoughts' Thanks AD for this, made my day. The midfield balance looked great against a Championship side last week. I think I'm right and SC is wrong. Time will tell.
Never been a fan of Wagstaff and personally feel that Marv, a good a servant as he has been, is past his best and should be playing a lesser part. its tricky, if we go for a diamond with a central midfield, ie JET, Pack, Reid, Elliott, then there is little width. If we use width, then Elliott is the one to come out at the expense of a wider player though that leaves us more vulnerable through the middle as we have seen numerous times. Probably the answer is to use subs depending on who we are playing. This I guess is Cotrells thoughts away to Bradford. Wells will need watching, looked pretty sharp at home.
It will be interesting if he plays him from the start tomorrow,as with fontaine will he keep his place or be dropped. SC certainly has changed the mood, onward and upwards.
I'm not sure Barnett is fit and ready. I wouldn't change the team and set up from last week other than Moloney or Burns for the useless Wagstaffe.
