Three possible outcomes after the Spurs game

  1. Lose - "This is a wake up call for Newcastle United, they've made a brilliant start to the season, but they're not at the level their position in the table suggests."

Draw - "Newcastle rode their luck today, like they have a quite a few times this season, but managed to escape with a brilliant point against a far superior squad."

Win - "Spurs were ****. What an easy win for Newcastle."

I'd put my house on one of these 3 being the reaction to the game next week.

I'll be gutted if pundits start taking us seriously. I like being the underdog. Let's just hope for option 2 or 3.

When I saw the title and the poster, I anticipated the actual thread to say we will either win, draw or lose!

Which journo will say 'Spurs were ****'?

It's a tad uncouth; even for the Sun.

Sometimes it's good to step back a little. You really can focus on something for far too long, making your judgement clouded and misguided.

    Just a thought.

Lose: "Could this spell the end of Newcastle's title challenge? A plucky Tottenham have somehow managed to do the unthinkable and break United's unbeaten record with a historic 1-0 victory thanks to Jermaine Defore., a result that will surely go down in Spurs history books. Pardew will have a lot of serious questions to answer in the morning.

Draw: "Against the odds, Tottenham put on a defensive masterclass even the Geordies would be proud of to see the game out to 0-0. Despite constant pressure from the Newcastle forwards, the North London side held strong to steal a point from what on any other day could have been a massacre. Dark days on Tyneside as the Toon Army drop two points."

Win: "A routine 3-0 victory for Newcastle as the title march continues. An early goal from Leon Best (it was a tap in though so shouldn't really count) was soured by a horror tackle by Spurs defender Ledley King. Both players were stretchered off which paved the way for Geordie hero Shola Ameobi to bag himself a brace in the second half, putting three points beyond doubt. Harry Redknapp was philosophical post-match saying, "Well really, it's was boys against men. Proper rock hard men who are mint at football, no arguements from me we just weren't good enough. Can I be England manager now?""

If we play well, we'll win, everyone'll notice. Simple as (or so I'll pretend).
