This Saturday Wales play France in the Rugby World Cup Semi Final. In the afternoon the Swans will be facing Norwich in the Premiership.

There are plenty of people getting excited about the rugby, but if it came to the crunch, which result would you prefer on Saturday?

A win for Wales to take them into the Rugby World Cup Final or three points for the Swans?

No sitting on the fence! <ok>

Egg chasers will say Wales but football fans will say the Swans. I want both to win but the fact I'm getting up at stupid o'clock to get on a coach to go Norwich tells my preference if I had to choose (not a big fan of rugby).

i never liked rugby much at school, there was a definite divide between the egg chasing prefects and the layabout footballers. furthermore for every live game i've watched the all whites/ospreys/wales i've seen the Jacks at least 50 times that - which should tell you my sporting preferences. Those 3 points on offer at Norwich are gettable and could be real crucial come the end of the season, however as swimaway mentions the gravity of the Wales game is just too much - it transcends mere sport. So i'll take a win against France but i too fancy us to win both. The Wales team have shown how teamwork, hardgraft and a love of playing the game beautifully can overcome, i'm sure their success will inspire not only our beloved jacks on saturday but all welshmen everywhere

I'm a huge fan of rugby, and football. I love the Swans and do have a big preference over football than rugby.

However, I do believe that Swans and Wales will win, but if I HAD to choose for this weekend only, I would like Wales to win, and Swans to draw.

Reason for this being that Wales have NEVER been in a RWC final. Wales has never been in a major final in ANYTHING as such. The Swans still have plenty of points to play for, whereas Wales don't get another chance.

So, for the nation, and for the privelage of being WELSH,

    Come on WALES.

Both can do it....but 3 points all the way if I had to choose.
Should have set this post up as a vote , although I don't know how to do that myself.

Ideally a win for both but if not then a win for Wales purely because i think we (Swans) are good enough to stay up without 3 points on Saturday..But if it was at the end of the season and it meant avoiding relegeation or the world cup then it would have to be 3 points for me

that is exactly how i view it bongo. wales have one chance while the swans have plenty of games yet, so i would sacrifice 3pts or the swans for a guaranteed win for wales....<ok>

Swans. No contest. I hate the way rugby is rammed down our throats at every opportunity. On Wales Today (a 30 minute programme) about 15 was recently taken up with rugby - there is almost an assumption that if you're Welsh you like the sport. Egg chasing being compulsory in Welsh schools has been responsible for football taking a back seat and has directly harmed the development of football in this country.

That said, I really want Wales to win and will probaby watch it.

what do you expect then aussie...<doh> here we are with wales in the semi finals of the world cup with rugby the number one sport of the nation and always will be....at this present time the world cup is the most important sport that is on and should take top billing on any sports news....

The Swans for 3 points no questions! Those 3 points could be the difference in staying up or not, but saying that we can't pick and choose who wins what, I want both to win , even though I am not a huge rugby fan.

So dai that we can choose who wins what, but if there was a choice, and the swans needed 3 points to stay up, would you be happy to choose Wales to win the world cup in rugby instead ?
