Just a few points having only listened to the match on the radio it did sound like we won the 1st half and lost the second. Confidence seemed good, especially Young and Fletcher - Purse managing to get the 2nd goal. Just a short defensive lapse and an isolated error by our rooky keeper but otherwise sounded pretty good. Young was lucky not to have gotton his ankle broken by the sound of it and Morcombe came over as being a bit over-the-top with their challenges. Already looking forward to next season even though this one isn't over quite yet. Thoughts anyone?
Just read the report..seems like they had a good game and are in good spirit's.. Let's hope for a really good crowd next Sat..the most positive thing this season was the good crowds..
But....nothing to lose and still hanging back a little... slightly worrying but on paper we should have buried them as we have quite an experienced team. Maybe the strain is now showing as been an uphill season. Would be great to beat Cheltenham on Sat to round off the season. COYG.
I was not in favour of youngsters being thrown in before the game started and the keeper sadly proved the point. He didn't have that much to do and cocked up for their second at least. Not impressed with that I'm afraid. I only listened to most of it, family arrived as looking after grandson overnight, so missed some of second half. Young sounded really good along with a couple of others. The tackles did sound a bit X rated at times and it also sounded as if it might be getting a bit out of hand. Ref did little to help and Morecombe were lucky to end with 11 men on the park if Sparksy was right. Still, they didn't lose which is a positive and lets hope they really go for it next Saturday and give the home fans something to cheer. Full first team and all out gung ho attack. There is no pressure on them so lets see what they can do if let off the leash. Expect near double figures crowd wise for the last game if not getting to 10k.
