really impressed with miyaichi, loved his directness and willigness to take on players. looks like a future arsenal star, hopefully if he can get his work permit we will have him and gervinho as 2 real wingers we have been calling out for for a while.

i thought jenkinson looked good, ramseys ball through to walcott gave me hope he could replace fab in the future (at least a little anyway). only thing that annoyed me was passing to the right for sagna to cross the ball in, it never seems to work, hes not the best crosser, while do we still do this???

    your thoughts???

yh miyaichi looks like a real gem...at the moment...

but just like walcott...arshavin...especially arshavin - a player with so much promise...coming to arsenal...seems to these days just ruin their career...they start to degress...lose their directness...their skill and talent that sets them apart from our other players...even vermaeleen started to lose his robust nature - and its purely down to the way..the style wenger trains these players...they learn that they have to get a million and 1 passes in befor ethey shoot...become more injury prone...less direct..less imaginitive..

i feel for miyiachi coz he may lose his unique talents!

    ah well

Everybody played very well yesterday apart from Denilson and his usual pointless sideways and backwards passing. I do wish we woud play Walcott through the middle though, lovely finish for his goal.

One more thing Vela had a great game lots of nice skill and good goal (finished with a chip surprise!), however he missed about 5 other chances because he wouldn't shoot, he seemed to want to beat the defender and keeper 3 or 4 times before he wanted to do anything with the chances. Very strange Arsenal really have to be more direct and take these opportunities earlier!!

That could be because it was mainly an exhibition match to show off and gain popularity so the team could of been trying to be as fancy and entertaining as possible,
Or arsenal need to become more direct...

Good God man you are a depressing soul sometimes! However i cant help but agree with some of your comments, the tippy tappy show whilst impressive enough seems to kill our directness and im super keen for Wenger to address this, (not holding my breath though) Arsenal managed to do the tippy tappy stuff and still be direct in the past i see no reason why we cant replicate this in the future, but a lot depends on our signings this summer an awful lot!
