I reckon Cardiff will win the first leg, and West Ham the second; so it'll be down to the aggregate scores. I'd back Blackpool to win their home leg and possibly shade a draw at Birmingham. So - my pick for the final would be Blackpool v. Cardiff. Blackpool to win at Wembley! Thoughts anyone?
I'm looking at this from next season's perspective; who would you least like to compete against next season? If West Ham maintain that squad I want the to go up in the play offs, much as I hate saying that.
i think west ham v blackpool final and blackpool to win, hope not tho would rather west ham go up as i hate going to london games...
Agreed, I think the directors at WHU have already conceded that if they don't go up they will have to get rid of a fair few players, Nolan for example signed a 5 year deal in the region of 50k a week, not sustainabl if they stay in the Championship, so fingers crosed they stay down and go the same way as Pompey, teams who sign and sign and sign beyond their means deserve what they get, just as we have over the past 2 years, reap what you sow
As I understand it, if West Ham don't go up, they're pretty much ****ed. Sure I heard something somewhere about them probably going bust if not as they've hedged all their bets on an instant return. For this reason, I hope they fail. Clubs shouldn't act like that. Add to that the fact that they are deplorable ****s, and one can't possibly hope for any other outcome than a right royal **** up. Dildo sales shall have to see a sharp upturn to save their skins. Don't care for the other teams in it either I have to say, all ****s, but any of them other West Ham please. I'll say, probably, Birmingham. P.S. - do enjoy watching these 'bigger' teams stumble and fall, so whilst I'm here may I just say that I hope with every sinew of my being that Aston Villa continue to be the dullest team in history, and exit the top flight. Realise they'd probably be the big daddies in the Championship next year (bad for us), but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. **** Villa, you get what you deserve.
Would prefer for Wet Spam to go up - get rid of a London Club with a good squad. Blackpool's a decent day out unless the make it midweek or a Friday so would likethem to stay down but no pressure on them to succeed with that carrot crunching idiot in charge so who knows.!
Cardiff are my bet for the play-offs, been so close to promotion for a few seasons and I can see them finally making it.
Not been very good with my 3 predictions at the beginning of this season. Liverpool to finish 3rd! Darlington to be promoted to League 2! So hopefully Cardiff City to win promotion could stop a hat-trick of despair!
I' d like to see Birmingham make it back to the Premiership - got a lot of time for Chris Hughton, though their finances seem to be a bit dodgy as well. I suspect it will be West Ham though.
I swear it's the only thought in my head (apart from one about Christina Hendricks, which I won't go into here).
Can't stand the Welsh windbags, but this is the one time I hope they win through to the final. I hate that fat bastard Allardyce more than them. Then hope Cardiff lose the final though.
I want either Blackpool to win, Blackpool v Birmingham final, West Ham will lose Green, Tomkins, Noble, Taylor, Cole, Nolan and more if they don't go up, Birmingham will also lose a few due to their finances, Cardiff will fall at the final hurdle as per usual and that leaves Blackpool. MK Dons for L1 promotion and Bolton, Blackburn and Wolves to be relegated.
