Thought it was a good fight, great comeback performance by mayweather as usual, looked very much the aggressor this time as well compared to his last few fights, took some good punches and landed some very good punches. Now onto the 4th round lol, In my opinion that headbutt from ortiz was one of the most stupidest things i've seen a boxer do since Tyson bit holyfields ear, what was he thinking. I'm still in two minds as to if floyd was in the wrong because he touched ortiz's gloves then obviously ortiz still had his down and floyd stunned him then knocked him out, now i think mayweather was in the wrong but at the same time ortiz got what he deserved, you don't headbutt someone, fair enough he got the point deducted but if that had caused any serious damage then a DQ would of beckoned. Floyd was in total control throughout though and thought it was a good performance and if your going to fight dirty like ortiz did then expect something back. The thing what turned it sour though was floyd after the fight, thought he was very disrespectful to the interviewer after the fight, the main thing floyd said was " you aint ****, you aint **** " i don't care who you are you don't say a 80year old man is nothing. Thats the most disappointing thing about Floyd, his probably one of the greatest boxers i've ever seen and one of my favourites but outside the ring he is a total dickhead and thinks his above everyone and i think thats why he never gets the credit he deserves, theres being cocky and being a dickhead and his been a dickhead, all the court charges, the abuse to his dad ( fair enough his dads done a lot of **** but it was a long time ago and some times you have to let it go as his still his dad ), and now arguing with a old man. Anyway hopefully floyd v manny will happen to end the debate once and for all, although i'm sure when floyd beats him all the manny fans will say " fluke fluke rematch or let him fight khan and khan will kick his ass ". Any thoughts/opinions on the fight and after fight?
My thought's are that Ortiz headbutted Mayweather clearly so he played dirty and got what he deserved. I also think Larry Merchant has been anti Mayweather for years now and I was personally delighted when Mayweather destroyed him on live tv, im not a massive Mayweather fan but imo Merchant is a clown him and Joe Cortez are not very good at their job's imo.
Well what a fight. I think what Ortiz did when he head butted Mayweather was disgraceful and was certainly not an accident like he said after the match. Mayweather may have "unfairly" knocked him out but Ortiz should have had his guard up at all times in the fight and it's his own fault for getting knocked out. I think Floyd was very unclassy with the post match interviewer Larry but he got completely owned when Larry blasted back "I wish I was 50 years younger so i could kick your ass."
