Well last night was nail biting to say the least, we came out with a decent result in my opinion, especially after going behind early on. Really happy that Danny Kedwell scored his first goal since Port Vale at home, sounded like our best player last night! The game did however end on a bad note with Andy Frampton being sent off! I saw the incident on Gills player this afternoon and in my opinion it wasn't a red card at all! The Rochdale player has deliberately tried to get Frampton sent off by cheating! All he did was pump his chest, the player fell to the ground like he'd been shot! I really hope that the red card gets overturned, however I don't think there is a cat in hells chance of it happening. Thankfully we have two very good replacements in Gregory and East! Worryingly though we have several players who are struggling for Saturday according to Martin Allen. These players are Chris Whelpdale, Charlie Lee, Matt Fish and Bradley Dack. These are all as a result of late tackles made last night, to say Rochdale were physical would be a huge understatement! Finally lets make Saturday another superb 12th man show, the Rainham End was magnificent place to be against Plymouth, but to have an atmosphere for that one game isn't enough, we need that kind of atmosphere for all of our remaining home games! UTG, almost there!
I like your final words there liam about the home fans. We have four home games remaining and one of those is against Accrington with an incentive of under 16's for £1. So in all honesty if people in Medway cannot make the effort for our remaining promotion campaign games, then they might as well never make the effort and we can save ourselves a fortune in the future on building an 18,000 new stadium. I will be at five of our remaining seven games this season, home&away, might do six.
Exactly really and truly there should be a good nine/ten thousand there Saturday, especially with it being a kids for a quid offer aswell. I am 15 therefore this is obviously by far the best Gillingham season I have seen so if people can't be bothered to watch us now they never will! I'll definitely be attending all four remaining home games, doubt i'll be able to do the away fixtures unfortunately. We're so close to this, its incredibly exciting! UTG
