Anyone? Was it a reasonable debut that suggested he might be at the very least reliable back-up or should we even give him an extended run? If there's one thing threatening to derail us it's the lack of a regular number 1.
Solid! Couple of tame early shots from Derby helped him a lot. Couldn't do much for their goal and came out for a bouncing ball that no one dealt with and went **** OFF with a well timed punch. His kicking was very good...beaucoup distance every time.
I wonder if Nige's spies were at the game? Thought Derby might have gone after him more to test him, they must have known it was his first game. Wonder if Lesta will get at him a bit more, more high balls and trying to get in up close to him. Good solid performance, thought Simmo was unselfish again. Faye did well against Salmon, had him in his poachers pocket all night. Mention in despatches for Meyler and Evans, well in fact all of 'em. Even in the first 20 odd mins under pressure we controlled the game. Well played lads.
Solid - made a good save from a shot bound for the top corner. Good punch of the ball when coming out of his area (he took some of the player too). Distribution was ok, reading danger was good when he had to deal with a couple of under hit back passes.
Did his job well, no complaints although didn't have much to do, between him and Amos we have more than adequate cover till the January window.
He played well. Nothing he could do about the goal. He made some comfortable saves, and one great save when a shot beat everyone in the 2nd half. Kicking was fine. Punching was good. For a minute in the 2nd half, Sammon was competing with Hobbs (i think) for a ball on the edge of our box and Eldin came rushing out of his goal, my thoughts at the time rushed back to Amos v Blackpool, but he did what was needed of him and he cleared it. Even if it wasn't an orthadox punch.
I thought he was decent, only really had 1 save to make (apart from the goal which he could do nothing about), but he dropped a couple and every time the ball was in the air it felt like there was a mistake in him. Hopefully just early nerves, because his distribution, especially out to Meyler, was very good.
He was absolutely fantastic, commanded his area well. Came out to two very difficult balls. Punched both of them one while 2 Derby players were right in front of him.
I thought he had a good game last night, seemed more and more confident as the game wore on and made a couple of great saves in the 2nd half. The fans in the away end certainly warmed to him chanting his name several times during the 2nd half.
Hard to fault him at all. He gave Elmo **** for a piss poor back pass. He never looked uncomfortable.
The Jak, the Jak, the Jak is on fire. Really impressed me with a couple of saves, don't think that he could really have done much more.
