Very long day of travelling, taking over 3000 fans was just brilliant. Performance wise we looked better. Defence: Organisation at the back seemed much better, but the ability of the players let us down a few times, O'Dea being turned or just smashing it anyway for example. Bromby looked shakey at right back, but did try to get up and his throws were a threat. Midfield: Clayton was our best midfielder by miles. Snoddy tried hard but struggled to get in the game. White was trying, running for lost causes and tracking well in a new position, also almost scored. McCormack didn't get involved enough like Snoddy, but was our most dangerous player, Bromby missing a sitter after Ross went past 3 and he had a goal ruled out that was a yard over. Brown was garbage and should of been sent off. Striker: Becchio was abit better today. Unlucky not to score, looked a good save, won a few headers buy with poor accuracy. Too easy to play against. From Saturdays performance, I'd pick this team for Saints: GK: Lonergan LB: White CB: Lees: CB: O'Dea RB: Connolly DM: Clayton DM: Thompson LW: McCormack CAM: Snodgrass RW: Sam ST: Becchio/Paynter
paynter is a total donkey, easily larry"s worst sighning, clean sheet encouraging, but sorry would rather go with no strikers than paynter !
