What are your thoughts for the coming season? Who do you see as serious promotion challengers? For what it is worth here are mine!! I believe Pompey will do much better this season and finish fourth. Obviously, being a local team I would love to see Pompey become the first team to win the title of all four divisions (or have Huddersfield, Wolves and Sheffield United managed it) but is that asking too much? IMO Pompey have a manager who knows exactly what he wants and is going to get it. As for likely rivals, I consider Luton and a re-juventated Bristol Rovers as likely contenders. Oxford will improve and maybe Plymouth. Anyway good luck. Away wins will be vital. Aim for 12 wins on the road.

Just researched!! Wolves have won the title of all four divisions. Let Pompey be the second team to achieve that feat!!

If we gel quickly, and get off to a winning start, then who knows, Ides ?!

Going to be a long season. Reckon that AFC Wimbledon could be a surprise package, and agree that Bristol Rovers could be there or thereabouts, along with Luton/Oxford Utd/Yeovil/Plymouth/Notts County.

Still think that Pompey need to sign a few more Irish players

Play-off places would be what I would be aiming for. A title run would be brilliant but above my expectations. And, as usual, I would like to see progress made in bringing through players from the youth team to the main team.

Pompey have done quite well recently in bringing through players from the youth scheme. I can think of Wallace, Whatmough, Webster, Butler, Chaplin, maybe Close. And think of those let go in the past decade - Ritchie (spelling), Ward, Pearce, the guy that Celtic have signed!! It is utilising the players that come through, something that Pompey are not that great at bringing to complete fruition.
