Adam Webster's second goal of the season helped Portsmouth to victory over Cambridge and lifted them up to fifth place in League Two.
Thanks for the belated matchday thread Anti - much appreciated A valuable three points in a hard earned 2-1 win against a typically aggressive Shaun Derry managed Cambridge Utd. team.
I was watching the scores today and especially your's given my bit of criticism over your last result. Have to say that's a bit more like it and this time you didn't chuck it away. I have been also looking at the match stats for league 2 tonight on the beeb site and some of them are a bit surprising. Northampton in their lofty position didn't get near to double figures in attempts on goal today but nowhere near Crawley who apparently had only one. Your's were also less than double figures and given your goal difference I find that surprising. Perhaps that's the secret for Pompey. Less attempts but more quality to effect a win. Mind you not letting in late goals can help a bit as well. I think there are a number of twists in this league yet to come before the end.
still thought some of the players were a bit off their game, Cambridge played well for the first 30 mins.......I'll take the 3 pts, but our next two games need to reap some points as well
Well this didn't stir much at all two Pompey supporters and two onlookers - rather disappointing that no one else felt the need to comment on a positive result and add their thoughts - where have you all gone
this board has been diminishing for a while mate........not sure where they have all gone.........some of the topics get massive views, yet only a few reply's!
Think yourselves lucky, most of the Boards on here have died and become totally extinct in this league and league one isn't much better. The Argyle site when it was the BBC 606 was reasonable and had quite a few on it but the not606 site has only about a half dozen regular users with one or two who are occasional. Even then we get a few tossers who we have to throw out. Sad old world isn't it. If you look at sites still used in league two then there are only 4. Most posters seem to stick to their own as well with the exception being me who is a total peeping tom who gets about and joins in other people' s conversations. But, I've always been a nosey git. The only reason I'm a Mod is because nobody else had the time to do it. Thank god for the retired brigade I say. I think the higher you get league wise the more will join.
I think the number using Not-606 is well down compared with two or three years ago. Chelsea have the same few guys posting comments all the time. Not many new faces there. You and Bodanki are the rarity who visit other sites and post sensible, measured comments.
