Nah, with that midfield we'd just score early on and then keep the ball for the rest of the game!

Now THAT would be a first. Seriously, one of the things that still infuriates me about us, at times, is the amount of possession we give away with sloppy passing.

I think that we lost the midfield to numbers in that game, Pat.
When Liverpool tried to match up against our 4-4-2 they got absolutely battered.
Arsenal played 3 in the middle against our two and it paid off in terms of possession, if not in chances.

Both systems have their uses.

I just hope we can play Parker or Sandro in whatever formation is required or Sandro/Parker.I like Parker but Sandro is the future and would hate to lose him him coz he doesn't get enough playing time when fit.I agree we were being overrun when we brought Sandro on against Arsenal,just hoping that we can rotate the two of them when we only play one holding midfielder it doesn't have to be Parker 1st on every team sheet.Of course as for Liverpool they only had 11men for a short time so we will never really know(although we were battering them anyway).I'm just worried that 'arry has or hasn't learnt from last year where he just didn't rotate the players enough.

I'd agree with most of that, but I think that Liverpool actually came into the game a little more once Adam had been dismissed.
Up til that point, they were just being totally swarmed and they seemed to become harder to break down for a while, once he'd gone.
