    After scoring thirteen times in a friendly staged in Saskatoon days earlier, United's tour moved on to Edmonton.

    Scorers for the home side were Dave Gillings and Bobby Graham.

    To put things in perspective, there was no organised league, professional or amateur, for "soccer" in Canada in the 40's. It would be the equivalent of an NHL team rocking up in, say, Nice or Rome and inviting any 20 people that owned skates to play a friendly.
