Apparently we are still looking at keepers which kinda makes sense i suppose considering that Lonergan is our only good keeper (and an exceptional one he is). Now that McCarthy is going back and i think we would all be happy to see him return permanently although looking unlikely. Rachubka is ****, Maik Taylor is 40 and wont last long and Cairns is far too young to put any immediate pressure on him.

So why not look back to where we got our only good keeper then.... Preston.

We've been linked with Throsten Stuckmann apparently

Which got me thinking, we do NEED to sign a keeper in January considering Taylor's contract runs out in January unless we extend it. So who do you think we should sign as a good No. 2 Goalie???

As a No. 2, I'd hang onto Maik Taylor for a while. Goalkeepers are like good wine; they mature with age. So 40 for a keeper as long as he stays fit isn't too bad. Maybe we'll look to extend Taylor to the end of the season & then think again.

I wouldn't mind that but i still think we'll need to get a keeper in the summer if that is the case, I see 37-41 the time when keepers should really be retiring
