The lad came through our reserves and went to the same school as Nicky Featherstone. I'm not quite sure what his situation is; he is playing for the Canadian equivalent of East Stirlingshire, yet he wants to be playing in Europe. He went for trials at Kilmarnock and Stirling Albion but 'didn't like Scotland'. Fair play. Apparently a decent dead ball specialist as well and likes to score goals. Problem is, it's hard to see what his actual quality is like when he plays for such a god awful team. I expect to see him in the MLS at the very least, he is only 25 after all and for a central midfielder, has age on his side. http://lesrosbifs.net/2011/06/thoma..._campaign=Feed: lesrosbifs/CzsR (Les Rosbifs) That's the link for the article.
No offence Tommy, but he was just one of thousands of lads who went through our academy and didn't make it, I doubt anyone on here's even heard of him.
Sadly no, he is not me, I am a goalkeeper for starters . I just saw the article and posted it on here, just in case anybody was interested. I always like to see youth prospects from our club pop up.
I know his Brother from school. All he ever talked about was him, recently been at LA Galaxy but failed to even get into the squad there. Never seen him play though so can't really say much
Can't believe I found this now, i've heard that this beattie guy i know had a fabled brother. I didn't know he'd gone to Canada

Let's hope the media don't add to his problems, and just let him get on with his life in his own way.
