So, Newcastle, Norwich and Birmingham considered the best Town/City to visit. Fine by me on the first two, though haven't really explored the latter much at all.

tbh Brum used to be a ****ehole but over the past few years they've regenerated the centre and spruced up the Bull Ring, so it's not so bad now!

Sorry but MK Dons scored highly it might be new but as fan it's one of the ****test away day experiences I've ever had and I've been about three times. Imagine a Tuesday night reserves game on a cold rainy November evening, zero facilities nearby for supporters and a mud track as a carpark, the Centre is alright for shopping and it's reasonably safe in comparison to other similar sized places crime wise, apart from that it's dull.

I think it's actually Fulham that got 5 for area. West Brom and Villa on either side each got one, which makes much more sense.

Nothing wrong with that Supers, Norwich is a lovely city, at least you didn't have to make some bizarre rule to completely ignore 7 towns/city that actually finished above you to get to 3rd. <ok>

Still hawking this old chestnut are we? You must have heard MOTD pundits and other commentators allude to this fact.
Like it or not, sides like Liverpool, Man Ure and Chelski are global 'brands' - with backers and overdrafts to reflect this. Consequently, if they choose to spend £30m on a single player, with wages to match, they can flex those corporate muscles and do it.
If Norwich, Hull, West Brom did likewise, we'd go bust.

At least admit you know what Supers was talking about yesterday, because everyone involved in top flight football can see it.

The centre of Birmingham has improved but was absolutely dreadful. The canal area has seen the improvement and boasts the ICC and NIA now. The Bull Ring was a sh*tehole. Then there's the NEC which is soulless and then probably the worst train station in Britain (New Street)

Edgbaston cricket ground is a mighty fine day out. With a myriad of decent balti/curry houses nearby, waiting for the umpires to signal close of play <ok>

"Norwich get 5 stars for food/drink" - I'm sure no one else saw that one coming..? <laugh>

I think the scores for both yourselves and us and pretty self explanatory, both scoring low for accessibility as we don't sit on the M1 and aren't part of London and the train system east of London and Peterborough harks back to the 1960's and would be more efficient if it was still powered by steam <ok>

The fact that we got 4 for 'Town/City' should hopefully dispel the "Ipswich is a hole" lines as we beat quite a lot of more 'fashionable' towns and cities on that front

I wouldn't get your hopes up, it's still a "hole"

Well actually that is not entirely true, the Pioneer Stand that made the club nearly bankrupt is pretty good <ok> Would have been better had it succeeded in the bankruptcy stakes though <laugh>

Whilst Suffolk has many splendid and beautiful parts sadly Ipswich is not one of them. The town centre is run down, dirty and uinpleasant made to look worse by comparison with either Norwich or Cambridge, both of which have maintained their charms for the most part. Other than that some good points made.

The fact that our ratings for location were better than the likes of Southampton, Cardiff, Sheffield (both), Bristol city & Arsenal would possibly surprise a few people, but in response to the your comment about the Town centre, it certainly isn't venice in terms of looks but it isn't all bad. There are some good developments.. particularly by the Marina and the University (naturally there are the less desirable places as in every town & city in the country)

But in supporting Ipswich I have visited far far worse places than Ipswich, the list is probably as long as your arm in fact (depending on the length of your arm) so in that respect Ipswich isn't that bad.. or atleast as bad as it used to be <ok>

I am reading very little into this survey and it's findings. It seems to me that there may well have been quite a bit of bias and voting against/for clubs that people hate/like.

Come now NB, everybody knows that Cambridge pisses all over Norwich in every way! Far superior road links and infrastructure, education & research containing the best university certainly in Europe if not the world! A world famous hopsital and medical research centre, silicon fen hi-tec hub, aesthetic beauty, huge diversity in visitors and the list goes on and on!

What has Norwich got? A mustard factory, the UEA and 2 cathedrals <laugh>

Norwich should not even be mentioned, let alone as comparison, in the same breath as Cambridge <ok>

Arguably the best in Europe, yes. Best in the world? Not quite. I take your point though.

    Maybe just a little, Rick...
