The Championship is becoming increasingly difficult every year. Relegated Premier League teams are coming down and staying down, teams from League 1 with good financial backing are coming up and contesting for Promotion and the mid table sides have a good enough backing to be challenging for Promotion/Play offs etc. The gap between the bottom sides and the rest of the League is going to get substantially larger and teams such as Barnsley, I think are going to be buried alive. This year I think we really have to go for it, or else having more difficult seasons ahead. As much as it hurts to say, even TWS are possibly having a Middle - Eastern takeover and that just adds them to the hurdles of teams in our way of Promotion to the top flight. I have a nasty feeling that if we don't go up this year, it'll get harder in the Season's to come.
I think this season will be the hardest of all our attempts so, if we do go up it would be a real achievement. I expect Wolves and Bolton to go up and there is Leicester, Leeds , Cardiff and Blackburn all up there too so that just makes it harder TBH.
The Championship is the tightest, most competitive league in the world every season and this season will be no different. There will be at least 15 teams thinking they can finish in the top 6
