Just browsing around and came across a decent debating article on the Watford site so I thought I would bring it to the Cardiff board. Well we do have a habit of taking from them. It looks as if seasoned Championship watchers (journo's probably) are dissapointed with overall club performances in this seasons second tier of the league. Anyone inclined to agree or disagree? Quite a few fancied clubs failed to produce the goods considering the vast sums spent. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/football-league-blog/2012/apr/23/review-championship-2011-2012
If I'm honest I can't argue with that, this season the Championship has been poor, not helped by the standard of refereeing.
Good point about the refereeing Rhondda the officials, lino's included have been abysmal this year. Apart from Leicester and W.Ham there doesn't seem to have been many splashing the cash on signings and big loan deals this season which has affected the quality of the division. I suppose a common sense aproach by many would inevitably have a detrimental effect on the overall standard.
Overall it has been a much more even league. Reading are being held up as a great side but we beat them twice - could well have been much more than a 3 - 1 spanking at our place. While quality might have been lower the level of excitement hasn't changed as seen by the charge for the play offs going down to the last weekend and relegation issues not finalised until last week. Who knows what the last weekend will bring?
