I hadn't quite realised what was what regarding the playoffs until I came to do the predictions this week. The bottom line is we are playing the team who are rock bottom of league 2 and our other rivals for the final spot, Luton, are away to Southend who are still going for an automatic spot. If we win and Luton lose then on the big difference in goals we have we are pretty much guaranteed the last place. It's fair to say I think that many an Argyle fan is disappointed with this season's yoyo league position and feel we should have had this sewn up long ago. If not an automatic spot of course. If they blow this weekends game then I also think that many a fan won't be very forgiving because there should be no excuse not to put this to bed finally. Can they do it? Will they do it? This and other questions answered by 5pm on Saturday.
Not one match have I watched this season but have listened to all but one game.. That goes for 4 season now of getting up at 7am.. From the beginning of the season Sheridan has brought in many a Loan Player which changed the look of the Team I imagine you had to check your program to see who was who.. If we do make the playoffs and I think we will then it sure has been a better season than the last few... Hopefully the 6400 of you will feel the same.. I have enjoyed every minute of it....At least that's the way I see it..
If we make the play-offs how many loanees will still be here ? We know that we will not have Jones or Lee....but who else finishes their loan after Shrewsbury. We could go into the play-offs with our weakest squad since earlier this season.....which doesn't bode well.
Have my tickets... come what may. As of 16:25 on Friday, blocks 3 & 4 (centre of Deveonport End), 9 though to 14 (the main part of the Lyndhurst) and the old grandstand are all limited availability. Blocks 15 and 16 (the shouty end of the Lyndhurst adjacent to the Barn Park) stand are sold out. It will be interesting to see what the crowd will be - more than 6,400 I should think BC! Oh and PS the traffic signs on the Manadon roundabout area of Tavistock Road are warning of congestion at Home Park between 13:00 and 15:00, which you don't normally see. Mind you, those signs are usually as insightful as Pippa Middleton's Tips e.g. "It's a good idea not to read a book when you are driving as it may cause an accident" so I'm not sure whether that's inside information or wishful thinking. For those not familiar with Pippa Middleton's helpful although slightly obvious tips, a range of bogus ones can be found here. https://twitter.com/pippatips They may not be really hers but they are pretty representative of her output.
Notdistant down with the Demport bheys.........classic. You can't get prawn sandwiches there for god sake....
Looking forward to tomorrow in a kind of '**** or bust' way i.e. if we don't win then season over. Inquest later. Hope for a 10k crowd but will probably be 8500-9000. am predicting 3-1 so will prob be nothing like that.
Were you one of those naughty Demport bheys leaping over the barriers and invading the pitch Notdistant? If you were you need to stop eating pasties.
