Quite a shock Bournemouth beating Arsenal 2-1. Currently watching Liverpool v Citeh and Liverpool looking good and worth their 1-0 lead. Should be a great game for the purists.
We really don’t want Liverpool to make City angry, as they will only take it out on us next weekend lol. Good game so far mind.
What with a lot of the teams around us picking up points over the weekend, we need man utd to beat stoke tomorrow. That might be easier said than done.
The thing for me is, at home, we have GOT to press up the field. I totally get the counter attack away, it's why we won the Championship and why we're not bottom right now. But at HOME? Give it a ****ing go, Rafa. They could have just as easily pressed Swansea far higher up the pitch - they were making unforced errors regularly, imagine if we'd actually got at them?
It's a fair comment and it was what we were doing early in the season when we were doing well. I guess Rafa doesn't want the team getting stretched too much and leaving too much space in midfield.
Stoke have appointed Paul Lambert as their new manager. I don't think Stoke fans will be overly pleased, Lambert's record in the Premier League as a manager is 37 wins from 139 games (an average win ratio of 26.61). Man Utd now leading 2-0.
Lambert's managed 148 points from those 139 games, an average of 1.04 points per game. If we ignore today's game and multiply 1.04 by the amount of games left, 15, Stoke will finish the season on 35 or 36 points...and presumably one of the relegated teams.
