What do you honestly expect to have happened? For some reason I can see the deal for Torres to go breaking down, like the Luiz deal. Looked for all the world he was going to be a Chelsea player, then the negotiations just suddenly stopped. I think this because I'm of the opinion that Abramovich is going round making token bids for players with little intent to seal the deal. I wouldn't be surprised if they suddenly turned their attention to a cheaper striker and quickly got him in under the noses of the media. Aside from this, who, if anybody, comes to LFC? Adam, N'Zogbia, Young? I'm obviously not 100% sure of this; nobody is at this moment in time. Maybe he goes, maybe he stays. What do you think?
I can see a last min purchase happening. As for Torres, I really hope he goes- unless he says he's made a big mistake and apologises. Don't want him at the club only because his deal couldn't be sorted at the last min. He'd be a drain on team morale, his performances would suck and he would go for less in the summer.
I hope we get two or three new faces in, Young included. But that's 'hope', not 'think'. I'm pleased with just the Suarez deal if that's all that happens. Although I'd like a resolution to the Torres drama.
I'd love us to get Young and if Torres does insist on going then Anelka coming in. If he stays and Kenny is ok to play him then i trust KK and if Torres wants forgiveness I shall give. Regardless of anything happening from the above, I'd love us to get Guiseppe Rossi in the summer! Just seen him score a great goal against Espanyol...! Can't see baconface letting us bid for him as I've heard they have first refusal...!
if he wants to be picked for spain and we still have him i think he would realise he will av to play at his best ability.
I would like to see Adam sign, anything else is being greedy. If Torres does go, then I want a frantic push for Ricky Van Wolfwhistle and Anelka, and maybe Young, but I think this is Roman taking the piss a little. His team is poor and he wants to unsettle everyone else.
Well I want Torres to stay, but if the worst comes to the worst we have to get Anelka (or Dogbra); he is a step down but not a huge step down. Suarez + Anelka > Torres. Anelka could only be a short term solution but for 40 million there are plenty of solutions you can think of.
Torres in my opinion has more or less gone... soo my dream scenario would be Llorente and Young, but realistic Anelka and Adam.
I hope it is something special.... a llorente or something big where there will be the initial, Chelsea really bought him for 50! then the joy of having bought another striker to partner Suarez and we are not so bad off it not better since the reliance on the front pair ( or 3) will not be solely on one man.
I too want Torres to go now. It's not that I hate him or anything like that but I believe that his departure will lead us into a new era; on players coming in, we are linked to just about everyone, Caroll being the latest at ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã30m - I do think this is a bit steep but would be an interesting addition nonetheless.....add Suarez (done) and Adam, Young and N'zogbia at the last minute and we will be unrecognisable from the team that beat Fulham recently!!....just dreaming!
My 1st Post yay! I would love to see Young, Adams and Carol. I think we will get 50m for Torres. Torres 50m Babel 6m =56m in Saurez 23m Adams 10m Young 15m Carol 15m =63m out Net spend of 8m Reina Kelly Agger Skrtel Johnson ------- Lucas Adams Young ------------- Saurez -----------Gerrard -----------Carol
It's not Adams it just Adam http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Adam I don't want Carroll either... Guiseppe Rossi
Blackpool are an absolute nightmare to deal with though, that chairmen of theirs is a tit. * They call Adam a ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã15m player, but they pay him 6k a week. *He's furious that they pay him the wage of a Championship player, but they tell the world he's worth 15m. The story in the papers at the weekend about Henry speaking to Lerner about Young are true. *If we get straight cash from Chelsea for Torres, expect us to throw a bid in for Young. I hate deadline day, we get all this stuff going on, and at the end of it we'll probably end up with an unhappy Torres and no-one coming in. *Or Torres out and no-one in! I wish we could scrap the window and go back to the way it was.
It seems deals aren't happening all over the place. But none of them are ours. After Spurs denied going for four players they'd been rejected for and having a ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã38.5m bid for Aguero rejected it seems they now can't even get Forlan for ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã13m.
