I'm keen to understand what the level of ambition is for next season. Assume the takeover goes through and the season starts as planned. Where do you think we will finish?
I think Europa positions should be minimum., anything better than that will be a bonus. As the table currently stands there are 8 points between 4th place Chelsea and 9th place Arsenal...if we are in that sweet spot with 9 games to go next season I'll be quite happy...all depends on how **** other teams above us will be.....until we're 3 years into this project of course, hoovering up all the big names and basically just ****ing steamrollering our way into the distance.....and history books.
Not a cat in hells chance would we be competing for the CL. we’d need practically a complete new 11. Well, minus ASM, Almiron and Dubravka to even come close to that. if the takeover went through, I’d be happy with an 8th/9th placed finish next season. Wolves and Everton have better squads than us (excluding the top 6) I certainly wouldn’t complain like, but I would genuinely be aiming to make sure we finished above the likes of Burnley etc. That should be our first aim.
I would say the aim would realistically be 8th-10th position. We have a ****e squad - it will take more than just 4 or 5 new players to come in to push us any higher. If we had Rafa as manager I would sign Jetro for the defense and that would be it. GK/Defence then sorted. I would buy a striker and 2 quality central midfielders.

the question can only be answered on a hunch.. no answer can be backed up with anything other than faith.. faith is an unreliable pathway to truth. it is an answer for something people provide without any evidence to justify a claim.
No one is going to come back to this thread in 12 months time and say "looko at that twat Chaos, thinking we'll get in to that Champions Lgeaue with Gayl as striker after NUFC spent all their money on Kai Havertz and Jadon Sancho" It is a genuine "what do you think MIGHT happen"
The only reasonable answer at this point would be "I don't know" any other answer is based on nothing demonstrably sufficient to make such a specific prediction.
Going to be as realistic as humanly possible. Straight mid table, with some improved football, decent signing or two, positive and responsive board room, facilities being improved. A slow and steady model it the best for us.
It obviously depends on how much is invested in the playing squad and who we sign. Assuming its over 100 million im going to say europa league pushing for champions league.
