I agree. This month one year ago, we were in disarray on and off the pitch. We were managed by a weakling, a ''yes man'', we were possibly facing the prospect of administration, thanks to Martin Broughton (our favourite chelsea fan) for using the foresight to use his contract of employment. This is what nailed Hicks to the floor.
We are now managed by wealthy and extremely generous owners. We've got no debt, and we're managed by a legend, a hero to many, a man that knows the club top to bottom, and most importantly he's a winner.
I know it can get better, and will get better, but how far we've come in such a short space of time is wonderful. There is a lot of people mocking us at the moment, because they are afraid. We're not back...but we're certainly on our way back.

Is that because you've only been a supporter since 1999?

    Even though you're 45

Yeah 1999 since the final against Bayern. <doh> No keep on hearing the stories hours and minutes away from being fired. Seems you have insight into the workings of Man Utd, so I hoping you could enlighten us.

Contscrepe is a stereotypicial Manchester United fan. Anything that happened from 1969-1992 has been erased from the records, most importantly the relegation in 1974 and the Ron Atkinson years.

You're right Bozz. Even EMF posted a rational comment. Compared to the way I felt last year, I'm in clover <ok>

Why is it than people always mention Kennys failures. He failed at ONE managerial position out of his previous three (Newcastle). Before anyone said he failed at Celtic, he was manager for 6 months and won a trophy. If he failed at Celtic, then so did Guus Hiddink at Chelsea who did exactly the same thing, won a trophy having only been manager 6 months.
Kenny is the only player manager to win the double. He's only one of four managers (none of which include Alex Ferguson) to have won the title with two different English sides, the others being Tom Watson (Sunderland and Liverpool), Herbert Chapman (Huddersfield and Arsenal) and Brian Clough (Derby County and Nottingham Forest). He also joins Alex Ferguson, Carlo Ancellotti, Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger as the only managers to have won the premiership.
So if thats failure, I wonder what success is?

I agree with luv- when you've been badly let down you're naturally cautious and don't want to be taken for a ride again, but I'm hopeful we've got it right this time.

Things are encouraging especially as Tom Werner has said there is not a chance in hell that Liverpool will be sharing a stadium with Everton. Thats music to all Liverpool fans ears. Hicks and Gillett at one stage considered it. Werner has dismissed it as a non starter.

    Morning,

Your seems rational today EMF - even called SAF Ferguson.

In response to your post of course oppsite fans are going to point out the other teams failures. In regards to Celtic I think even I could win a trophy managing them, whilst it may not be a failure I think you would be hard pushed to say he was a success at Celtic.

As for the other stats, the player manager one is neither hear nor there and proves very little to be honest. As for winning the title with different teams again I think it proves little as would you rather have a manager who has been fairly consistant over many years with the same club or someone who can win A trophy with different clubs.

I'm not arguing with you just debating your points

Constcrepe, **** off now okay? If I see you ruin any more articles on our board then a ban will come your way, which Im sure you're extremely scared about considering all you do is spend time on the Liverpool board.
