Taken from a interview sums up what Sod PULLING POWER WAS REGARDS jets arrival

Now the 22-year-old is relishing working with his former boss again, who he admits played a key role in enticing him away from the Championship.

“I’ve played for Sean in the past and just wanted to reunite with him and get back to playing football,” he added.

“I don’t think it was a really big decision because sometimes you’ve got to take a step back to go forward, and I think that by coming here we can do a lot this season.

“I know Bristol City are a really big club and there’s people I know that have played here before, but he was one of the main interests for me coming back here.

“Obviously we had a good partnership in the past and I’ve come here to win games and try and excite the crowd, and hopefully we can get back into the Championship.”

Emmanuel-Thomas on replicating his best form in City red.
Once the scourge of City, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has vowed to dish out similar punishment to the Robins’ League One rivals in the new season..

The versatile forward joins from Ipswich Town in a swap deal taking Paul Anderson to Portman Road.

Having previously spent time on loan at Doncaster Rovers from former employers Arsenal, Emmanuel-Thomas will perhaps be best remembered by City fans for his performance in a 5-2 win for Donny at Ashton Gate in 2010, scoring twice for the visitors before being applauded off the pitch by both sets of fans.

“That was a good day for me personally because it was my full debut for Doncaster as well,” he recalled to Bristol City Player.

“It’s weird how that happened and now all of a sudden I’m here playing for Bristol City, so hopefully I can reverse the tables on some of the other teams this season.”

Back then Emmanuel-Thomas, whose favoured position is in behind the main striker, was plying his trade under Sean O’Driscoll at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Now the 22-year-old is relishing working with his former boss again, who he admits played a key role in enticing him away from the Championship.

A lovely script by a Ipswich fan-

    Hello Cyder Army

Just thought I'd drop by and give you a few lines on JET and see if I could get a few back on Anderson whilst I'm here.

In JET you have an exceptional talent in my eyes, I saw a lot of him under Paul Jewell and altough he didn't have much of clue when it came to managing a team, he did stick with JET and for about 8 games he was unplayable, his game against West Ham when he got 2 in the 5-1 was the best, his often change of pace and surprising fast feet and shot power was too much for West Ham that night. However, asides from that 8 game run, you will struggle to find a Town fan who'll give you period of games where he consistently played well. The game against Watford away last year sums him up, the first 45 Carl Dickinson couldn't get near him with a barge pole, He literally didn't know which way JET would go, and by the time he did JET was long gone, after 40 mins of toying he capped off the first half with a goal. Then for the next 45 I cant remember him touching the ball, winning a header or just about doing anything football related!
Yes you will find magic clips on YouTube, and that's what it is, moments of magic, and not a lot else. Saying that a full season could get him flying again, I genuinely believe that Adamoah and JET with a target man through the centre would tear up league 1 so good luck to you lads, like us I think you've had the wrong the men in charge for far too long,
Hope I didn't bore you, please excuse the grammar, I am from Suffolk and have predictive text on an iPhone!

    Cheers

    Another Ipswich fan on JET
I'd say you're spot on, whenever I've seen JET he's best centrally either in a free role behind the striker or even to some extent as a striker. I think he's best centrally as he gets the ball more there, you need to give him alot of the ball and he will make things happen (he may also frustrate). I think it may be a good move for him and will decide whether he can make it to the top or just fade away down the leagues. SOD plays good football, so should suit him and if he gets the best out of him, you've got yourself a hell of a player, I just hope we will get a % of his next transfer fee.

The ball is very much now in JET court and its down to him whether he makes this latest move a success or not

I sense he may well be a frustration for some fans.........

Wingers are certainly largely frustrating creatures and people accept the fact that by the very nature of the role it's not always going to fantastic, but if the role for JET that's being discussed comes true, and he plays just behind a striker or preferably strikers, then it's a different matter and he will need to be reasonably consistent.
