how do you think we will go about it? Do you think there will be a change to what has happened previously and by that I mean paying over the odds for British players and cast our net far and wide and look for players who are of a good age and for a good price? I think that will be the case this summer.

As far as money in concerned I think Ellis will put his hand in his pocket and get in the quality that is needed, the bloke is a smart guy and whether it is Di Canio who decides on transfers or a director of football along with Di Canio which has been stated I think and really hope we get it right this summer as I think we will see 6 maybe 7 new faces arrive at the club especially with Killa and Bramble both out of contract, Mangane only on loan who will most likely not sign on a permanent deal, Ji and Elmo who IMO will both be away and I think we will also look to move on a couple of players from the first team squad.

pace, power, creativity and players of a good age (20-26) are what we need to identify in new signings

i think we will see a real foreign influx, pdc is worshipped over there, players will be chomping at the bit (no pun) to play for him in the epl, i cant wait for survival, the transfers and season 2013/14 already

totally agree matey, thought 37points would be enough but I am not sure now, maybe another 2 or 3 which I think we will certainly get to and beyond.

its exciting times and there is top players out there who we could bring into the club on good wages and for a small transfer fee compared to someone of similar ability already playing in the english league.

as i keep banging on, that wigan game in hand is huge, if they beat swansea (which i think they will) then 37 is not enough and pdc knows it, if they lose its game over i reckon and what we have now will be enough.

£80m tv revenue! ffs! i cant begin to imagine

Have you seen the scums run in? only points I can see them getting is against QPR. I win or draw down at Villa will be enough and we still have Stoke & Southampton at home so I think we'll be fine.

Reckon we should be okay lads the big game is the last game of the season for Wigan against Villa that I think will decide who joins Reading and QPR.
Unfortunately I can see the barcodes surviving as well, the only thing both NE teams have to play for now is who finishes above who.
As for transfers it's anyone's guess whether PDC goes foreign (as our British players haven't exactly set the world alight), even whether ES digs deep to fund the big money we'll need to sort the team out. For me at least we need at least 6/7 good strong players in and for pre season not the first game.

I was reading somewhere about players in Italys Serie A not being paid on time this season due to clubs struggling financially and the failing economy. Italian football has been on the slide for years and imo at best is 4th best, if your at any club other than Juve, Milan or Inter a move to the premier league will be appealing. Hopefully we can take advantage of it. I hope we've been scouting the bundesliga as there's some real gems there that will be bring paid pennies compared to what we could offer them.

We need two CBs, One a continental cb who can play the ball out with his feet and an old fashioned English cb as long term replacement for JoS as he'll only have a couple seasons left. Don't know much about overseas players at the moment but for JoS' replacement I'd like Ryan Shawcross.

We need Danny Rose. A new rb (could try a sneaky move for Seamus Coleman with Evertons impending summer chaos.

We need a versatile attacking midfielder. Id like to see Mauro Zárate.

An extra versatile winger, Loan move for Andros Townsend.

And two Strikers, God knows who, no one realistic in the prem i'd want.
