I don't think anyone could have predicted us getting the injuries we did in one game. In some ways we looked better once Conway went off, due to the formation change rather than Conway being bad (far from it).

I've been crying out for cover out wide and I think yesterday we paid the price. I'm sure MM is in the market, but at the moment, wide cover is more important than a striker.

Until Rudy pulled a fetlcok, we were by far the better side in the second half. Not sure we'll score loads of goals up front but the midfield will pick goals up pushing in behind the strikers. We did have a couple of chances that the strikers should (?) have finished. I did worry in the first half that we'd be blown away.

In terms of negativity, I find a lot to critisise the moment, but other things to compliment. I do feel as if some players are being asked to do things that don't come naturaly to them. Some will adapt and others won't.

Re: Miller.......I and a couple of like-minded others on here were told to give the guy a chance a week or so ago, and told to "get off his back". We weren't getting on his back at all, just saying it as we saw it.

Yesterday, I agree with the post above, he was woeful. He runs about a lot but achieves very little - I'd prefer someone who could be accused of being a lazyarse around the box as long as he could slot them.

In my view, he has had enough chances for the moment - his goal on the opening day against WHU started a bit of a love affair believing he could reproduce it on a fairly regular basis.

It's not as if he hasn't had the chances. Amongst others, his miss against Blackpool was criminal for such an experienced guy - almost as bad as Earnie's for Wales.

Malky has said he's using mind games to get Miller on song - perhaps it's time to use the bench instead.

I know there was a reaction to the negative comments but I simply didn't agree at that point. I said I hoped the fans didn't turn on him as that can happen. Hudson put in MOM performances at the start of last season and still got slated for misplacing a pass after 70 mins by some sections of support (See above comments about me wanting Hudson dropped).

I defended Miller at the time as thats how I saw it. On Sunday he was shocking in the first half and was just about ok whilst we still had 11 men 2nd half. If Rudy was fit there is absolutely no doubt in my mind Rudy should have his place BUT as Hilts says we have no options for Wednesday and imo an inform Saints team is a very scary proposition. I honestly think we do not have the players to compete with them, I obviously hope I'm totally wrong. But on Wednesday fo rthe first time in a long time I head to the CCS in hope rather than expectation.....

Saw the game and I thought the whole thing was poor, but either side could have nicked it. Foxes looked stronger in the end. Really not having a wum. Miller wasn't great but has been good before yesterday hasn't he? Has to be a better option than Parkin.

Swansea brilliant against Chelsea's 10 men

Thanks. <ok> Good day out at the Bridge but that game won't define our season. Stoke up next. Toughie for you against Southampton.

I dont want to encourage the Miller bashing. I did think he was poor on Sunday and I lost count of the times that his touch let him down, losing the ball very cheaply. The disruption from the injuries obviously did not help us at all. Though it did appear that the formation changes did. Up at Blackpool I thought he put in a fantastic shift, as I have mentioned in other threads he popped up at full back on at least 2 occasions that made a difference. My concern is that as he appears to be our main striker I was hoping and expecting a lot more from him in goals after 8 games. I really thought that he would be a top performer in the championship. I still think he can do the job but he needs more help, be that a quality striker alongside him or some decent wingers, preferably both.

I am still unsure how Rudy has not been starting for about the last 4 matches. He looks good when he plays. He actually looks our best striker. Let him get the experience and play alongside either Miller or Earnshaw. I hope MM will give Rudy far more starting matches once he is fully fit. But we need two players with some flair now. A striker and a winger.
