Saturday's game sees Mark Schwartzer and Michael Vorm defending their record of "most clean sheets" this season - both have 6. Apart from the obvious clap on the back for Schwartz, that stat is one huge positive for the whole club. In another thread 2stripes comments on how so many opposition keepers have played blinders against - frustratingly true. Vorm is obviously on form and Jol rates him (well he's Dutch isn't he). Our man has been inspired in recent games though and I'm going for him to be in top spot at 5pm.
My fears were realised. Vorm has impressed me greatly all season, Sir Alex must be tempted. Swear word! Swear word! Swear word! But we must be doing things right otherwise the keepers we face wouldn't have such a good game, or am I clutching at straws.
Good question 2white... How come all keepers have a great performance against us?? Are the shots so mild??
Michel Vorm is something special. Had a reputation for saving penalties in Holland, and has saved 2 for us already (Wigan & yourselves). Vorm may be the difference between us staying up or going down. We paid £1.5m for him. Amazed that no Premier League team had taken taken a punt on Vorm and signed him previously. Good luck for the rest of the season - apart from the match against us at Craven Cottage!!
