Time 17.27 Friday 24 June......... at this moment we have not heard that the little bit of petty cash that our phantom buyers should have given PAFC last Tuesday has been transferred to the accountants.

I personally don't think that doom and gloom even slightly covers the appalling situation that has enveloped PAFC this week.

It seems that 90% of what is due from the Phantom Buyers is still not available.

It seems that Arnason is complaining that he hasn't been paid since last October, has he been sacked or released and what is the differance ?

What do the handful of players that we still have make of it all, will they now do something similar ?

Even more important......WHAT DO THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE THINK OF IT ALL AND WILL THEY TAKE ACTION ?

These Irish clowns and their money games are on the verge of destroying PAFC, Argyle
cannot do anything without the exclusivity money that they have been promised.

The question I ask is have they with all their secrecy and late payments lost the right of exclusivity and other bidders now have the right to be involved.

Hippos would be scared to wallow in the mud and quagmire that is now the PAFC buy-out.

Who on earth would want to come and play for a shambles of a club that is now PAFC.

If anyone calls me a doom and gloom merchant than please use the right to ZAP me with that ignore button and you won't have to read how it is,

The FL should be very worried at what is happening regarding these so called Irish Buyers.

    Zappppppp........(only kidding)

Can I ask just one question please. When other clubs were in the same situation as we are now, how closely did you follow what was happening at their club and during their supposed takeover dealings? Do you actually know if Argyle are some exception to the rule or is it equally possible that other dealings like this elsewhere were just as torrid. I haven't a clue personally. They may not have been but I suspect there were many twists, turns and missed deadlines to these as there is with Argyle. They went through and the clubs remain so why should Argyle be any different.

I doubt any of them are Irish! I doubt other clubs were much different, But we are only interested in Argyle and it just goes on and on and not getting much better.

So have the phantom Buyers (where ever they come from ) coughed up the promised pocket money that is part of their exclusivity deal ?

Not long to when they have to pay the final instalment to total one million pounds, what makes me think it could be late.

I think by making it more public could help the takeover. We need answers.

But that is my point joe. Nobody from here followed for example Shef Wed takeover and escape from Admin. There were riots at the clubs gates so to speak which we heard about but did anyone here know why they were protesting. I don't know how their takeover went but clearly it wasn't smooth or what they necessarily wanted. The only reason we are fretful is because we are trying to follow what is happening to Argyle, not very successfully, and are aware of all the missed deadlines and things. We also have preferred choices to takeover us but despite protests in Yorkshire, it made no difference to them and it would not to us. I suspect from just applying logic that most if not all of these cases go the same or similar ways.

    ....................... sensible stuff going!

You are right, because it is Argyle, because we want the best for our club and everyone who works there, staff or players, thats why it hurts and thats why it feels so bad.

I don't think you are a doom merchant.

They have no need at all to reveal themselves as a) they will never own the football club and b) they have a confidentiality clause in the exclusivity agreement, which is pretty normal.

What's more worrying is Buttivant's disquiet about how the process has been handled.....

I love the logic here. I am saying that things will probably turn out ok in the end rather than lets all head for the highest bridge and jump. I am then considered a doom merchant??????????????? God forbid I should post anything like some have then. Suicidal doesn't even begin to describe some peoples take on all of this. Once and for all, smile folks for god's sake. It can't get much worse so it follows things must start to improve. I think they have already with at least an announcement of somebody taking us over. A few months ago that was a grave doubt in everyones mind.

I appreciate your sentiments against pointless speculation Sensible and the recognition that PAFC is not such a hot property that we should be too choosy about who throws us a lifebelt - we are very far from being able to do that.

However, face facts, the previous history between Ridsdale & the administrator, Buttivant's comments and I believe the fact he's reported Guilfoyle to his professional body for alleged malpractice, which Ridsdale has taklen seriously enough to rebut on the ludicrous basis that he had no intention to buy PAFC and has merely been pressed into public service is a somewhat worrying development at this late stage.

Hopefully it will go nowhere, nobody in their right minds relies on the courts unless they are absolutely desperate.... unless of course there's a lot of money to be made.

Ok so the opposition aren't happy bunnies. Well so what. If one doesn't buy us then the other one will seems to be the outcome of that one. We still end up with a buyer even if it is yet another one we would not neccessarily have chosen. The down side is it may take longer but hey, we aren't going anywhere are we so what is the point of getting all het up about things outside our control. I'm not saying that specualtion is wrong. If that is your bag then speculate away is what I say. But, I don't particularly want to go down that route myself as in the end all speculation is pointless. The only outcome to all of it is whatever outcome we end up with. The only thing that specualtion does is allow you to say "I was right" if you are and forget you said anything if you are not. You have an advantage over others who post on here I would guess. That is a background in the business world where you have more understanding of what is happening than the rest or most. Most of the speculators don't have that. Not saying they are wrong or stupid or any such thing but am saying that a lack of understanding often colours thinking and it becomes the wrong shade of reality. I never liked speculation and would rather deal in facts that I can see are facts and find it safer that way.

The problem is that if the current deal stalled let alone fell over - or worse still because there is a legal challenge to the way things have been done, we still need to fulfil our fixture on 6 August - only 5 & a half weeks away.

The current lot have been in exclusivity that long.

Speculation may be pointless but worry is definitely very much in order.

So did the phantom buyers pay the second instalment, although rumour has it that it was a pitiable £100.000 (£700.000 outstanding ) or not.

Havn't heard that it's been paid or have I missed it,tonights meeting will surely ask that question.

£100,000 or not, I believe Guilfoyle said it was the amount he was expecting?

Administrator is the only winner in this. Lets see what happens on the 4th July, Will season tickets then go on sale?
