As the likelyhood of a keeper getting sent off or needs to leave the field because of injury is very rare, does it warrent a keeper on the subs list leaving only 4 outfield players. Would it be more flexible to leave Bart at home?

Steady on mate! We are still in an excellent position! Its difficult to swallow a defeat after so long but as long as we can bounce back we will be fine

Correct Jen - he never saw the point of a goalkeeper on the bench - he said that on balance; the chances of injury Vs. loss of flexibility of to replace outfield players - he would sooner leave out a reserve keeper.

Disappointed but not distressed. We have had a magnificent start to season..better 4 wins and one loss than a few draws which other teams have. This was against a team who like us will be challenging for promotion..hardly a disaster.
And the other results worked out well for us too, apart from Brighton of course. That's the only bad thing for me, being below them again.

I'd say the goalkeeper is the most likely player to be sent off. And if he is then it will probably lose you the game.
I said it when this rule first came back in - I always admired Warnock for having the balls to never include a keeper on the bench. (He partly negated that by getting Jagielka to occassionally train with the keepers, and that ultimately worked wonderd when he was forced to go into go vs Arsenal).
I understand all the risks which go with this, but I too would leave Bart out and select five out field players.
