    But the Twittersphere is buzzing with news that a certain Joseph Barton has announced his immediate retirement from football.

    Now I'm sure this must be bollocks but there's a hell of a lot of people saying it, but then Twitter has killed more people off than cancer.

    We might be surrounded with euphoria but this is stretching it, surely? No smoke without fire as they say though. There could be some Barton movement in the coming days even though this rumour is a bit over the top imo.

    Its fake...someones RT'ing a tweet from Sky Sports News saying:

    But if you got to SSN twitter page, there is no such tweet...
