http://www.espn.co.uk/football/blog...s-park-rangers-tottenham-including-harry-kane A lovely article, if this happens at QPR.... in 5 years time I will be delighted. This is why we have to hang on in there. After the Goons we had no academy. We have now got an academy....and although if you read the article, it says results mean nothing...you can see by the results we are getting...things are improving. So lets go with the flow...yes we need to stay up. We do not want/need to be in a relegation battle. But definately building from the bottom up is the way to go...the future might be bright
Looks good, but the only way to judge its success is the number coming through to the first team, or being sold for big money. Chris has been at this for a couple of years with us now, with the brief interregnum when he was manager, and he clearly has complete support from Les, Hoos and Fernandes (though having a decent training facility would doubtless help). I think 3 years from now rather than 5 should be enough to judge, and hopefully sooner.
"Not everyone understood. Parents, appalled that their offspring weren't winning trophies, complained. But so did other people within the club including, on occasion, unnamed first-team managers. Fortunately, Levy resisted the urge to make changes, which was always Ramsey's biggest fear."
Has the four year plan evolved to the 14 year plan? I'm actually ok with that if that's what it takes.
Truly, however long it takes I'd be happy we are moving forward - ultimately any plan is only as good as the desire to implement it. The 4 year plan is redundant... long live the current plan... however long it takes... and however long it takes to name it!
