"Dartford boss Tony Burman has welcomed interest from League 1 Hartlepool in midfielder Lee Noble.

With losing talents such as Dave Martin and Cody McDonald to league sides in recent seasons, Burman has proved he is not a manager to stand in his players’ way.

"Players who get the chance at this club are in the spotlight and a lot of scouts come to our games," said Burman (pictured right).

"There are a lot of good young players in non-league football and people are starting to take a chance on them – more should do the same.

"Lee was going to pop up for a few days’ training (at Hartlepool) to let him have a look at league level but he got injured and that’s been put back but there is no rush.

"He’s not leaving to go to Hartlepool and he’s on a contract with us next season. They’ve asked if we will let him go up there for a couple of days and it will happen later in the year.

"He’s only 21 and he has time to progress, his heart is as big as a football."

McDonald moved to Norwich earlier this season and scored on his debut. On Monday night he made his first start, while Martin has earned
rave reviews at League 1
Millwall.

"Norwich know they’ve got a good player on their hands and good luck to him," said Burman.

"Dave Martin is becoming a regular and doing well and that’s great. It’s good for local football and I’m proud of them both."

Burman has other talents at his disposal, one of those being winger Ryan Hayes, who Burman feels is another who could perform at league level, although no club has made an approach.

Burman said: "He is erratic at times and sometimes his play borders on the brilliance. I’m sure he is someone people should look at."....so come on GT, stop fanning about with this loan system and start getting some players in who want to play football!!

McDonald also won Gillingham's Player of the Year, Player's Player of the Year, Sponsor's Player of the Year and Goal of the Season at the end of season awards ceremony held on Sunday 8 May 2011.[17] On 19 May 2011, McDonald revealed that he would not be returning to Gillingham but moving on to Coventry City, but thats not the point, the point is these players are out there, and we should be actively looking for them, its easy to single one player out like you have, but we need to look at the bigger picture, if we have five duds, we may just get that million pound gem!!......so come onGT...stop ....fannying about....Ive got it sorted AJ

In League Two and on loan(something to be said for loan players after all !!!!). It did not get Gillingham promotion but Coventry paid Norwich a lot of money for him and he never got on the pitch against Shrewsbury.
