That we always seem to have a hicup when we have a real chance to consolidate something...yesterdays match against Swansea...yes a very tough place to go to and no matter in the grand scheme of things it is a good point to gain....but my lord we could have been 4points behind with a game in hand ......so potentially 1 point off the top...however im not bitching im just pointing out that we at Tottenham dont like the easy ride
near the end yes we were lucky..it reminded me of watching the tottenham of a few seasons ago.......that part of my life where i had conditioned myself to accept that ok we might not win but we havent lost....and if we cling on then great....like i said not complaining just i find it always happens like that where we struggle to capitalise on what has gone on around us..however like u said..a good point gained can u rememebr the days when we would have started such matches hoping for a draw?
Like I said, next 2 games (WBA & Everton at home) are crucial for us to pick up maximum points. I say this b/c our run going into & coming out of February is really, really tough. Secondly, both Arsenal & Chelsea have harder fixtures over the next 2 games: Le Scum face Fulham then Swansea, both Away. Chelsea face Woves away, then flavour-of-the-day Sunderland go to the Bridge. Liverpool are, frankly, irrelevant.
either way i am very excited....and it goes without saying that HR will let the lads know that we are dare i say it 'title contenders'...if city are then sorry but we are too.....quite frankly everyone is apart from liverpool
Listening to the commentary of the Sunderland game on 5live. There was only one team in this, just look at the players they have on the bench. Poor Sunderland they are trying so hard but it will only take a moment for the glittering array of City stars to pop one in the net. etc. etc. It's so hard for the media to look beyond their selected status quo. First the unbeatable United now the HUGE talents of City oh! and the unbeatable Chelski. Great weekend, love it. Can I have some more please.
I think Liverpool will believe they can get something from city now. Their defeat against Chelsea has started a bit of a blip for them
I think if we beat West Brom, we simply have to be seen as title contenders. In fact I'm so gung ho, I'll be supporting Liverpool v City No I don't think, yet, we'll win the league, but either we already are title contenders or we're a win in our next game away from being so.
3 PL home games, then City away, shortly after, those in European competition will be resuming the extra game a week. If we're still in touch, thats when things could change, Chelsea in particular will chase the CL (owner driven! ). There again they could all be out first round and then it really is game on!
You are so wrong on this one D-N (my opinion). If we were the Tottenham of old we would have blown it against Norwich. We can't win them all. Of course if we would do this and that but so can the other teams say that. A draw against Swansea was not a bad result.
