Redknapp MUST go after this. This is an inexcusable scoreline at home and after the battering at Old Trafford on Monday it shows that Redknapp is no longer our man. We're on the verge of losing Modric despite all he has said and all he can think about is being a media darling in order to get the England job he so desires. Get this moron out of my club and bring in someone who actually WANTS to be at Spurs and fight for the cause.

    Redknapp please go.

i'm sorry, but this is ridiculous.

it's the same squad at last year that reached the Qfinals of the CL and managed to finish 5th.

we're playing against a club who have literally ruined football.

How is harry supposed to do anything when Man city have spent millions and millions on players that no other club in the world can compete with?

we do not have the money, and we make it even more difficult for ourselves by never strengthening until deadline day which is a few games into the season.

how is any of this Harry's fault? let's remember he took us from the bottom of the table to our first ever champion's league campaign. that's more than anything another manager has done for us in years.

go and take your face for a ****.

I'm not denying he done well with us, but he's become obsessed with the England job and I feel he is no longer dedicated to Spurs. Harry has taken us as far as he cn and now we need someone knew to come in who can bring a new life to the team and be fully committed to us and only us. Not someone who is interested in a poncy international job which is a manager's graveyard.

    +1 to SpursRoo comment

Get a grip, there are 38 games in the season. Were you honestly expecting to come out bathed in glory against Manchester City today, given the investment they've had?

on what grounds/evidence have u got to make this statement? its utter nonsense. we've just been ripped apart because the 2 sides we've played have strengthened and we havent. The modric scenario has hung over us all summer and with no marquee signings to show our intent, it's no wonder it's affecting the performance.

i think we've needed these 2 thumpings to make a bloody good point to levy. I'm still glad we've got time to do something.

actions speak louder than words. These two results and the fact we've been absolutely ripped apart in both games, cannot saying anything clearer to Daniel Levy, other than "you've got 3 days to sort this out".

Yes you're right Levy needs to sort this mess out too if we're to challenge for the Champions League this year. Bottom of the table is a ****ing disgrace.

again, you're forgetting the fact we've played the 2 best sides in the league. the results have been very disappointing, yes, but in a way it's a good thing that there's been such a margain between us. it only sends out 1 message and it's not too late for us to do something.

I honestly believe that's modric's last game. I've said it all summer that he'll go, but our replacement midfielders will be brought in first. Deadline day for 40-45mill.

Calm down, you're angry yes but knee jerk reactions are no good. City have won fairly so take the defeat. Bolton only lost to them by one goal and we've lost by four so the problem is with us not City. What would you say if City lost? "All that money spent etc etc etc." Don't worry,we don't lose heavily too often and getting rid of Harry now is useless. Wait until a win and new faces come in.

Too be fair, I too am mighty pissed. In all honesty though, this result has more to do with Harry's lack of options than it does a lack of management skill.

What would Ancelotti, or even Fergie, do differently with the options Harry has right now.

This just proves there is work to be done in the window.

    In Levy I trust.

I'm sure if we had half a billion quid down the back of the sofa we might have done better. We are all gutted, especially seeing as this caning came at home, but if you think City are going to finish anyplace other than first this season you are deluded. To get a new manager in now guarantees a poor first half of the season, at least. We have a whole season to go. In the meantime grow a pair and stop acting like a glory hunter. You define knee-jerk fella!

QPR fan in peace, SpursRoo just hit the nail on the head here. I wouldn't read too much into your first 2 games against very strong teams. There's only going to be a couple of teams who may match Man City and give them a few worries. Keep your chins up and I'm sure you will be top 6 again at the end of the season.

PS- Any chance of Crouch on the cheap??

Toatally agree. Whilst we cannot hope to compete with The Citehs of the world, we could, and should, have done more than we have. While Levy has been playing his high stakes poker games, our rivals have strengthened and moved on. We have just stagnated. Our srtikeforce has been an obvious joke for a long time, now. And, **** all has been done about it.

IMO 'Arry has lost the dressing room.

Lennon, VDV and Modric wouldn't even make eye contact with him which said it all, and then you obviously have the likes of Kranjcar, Bentley etc who are not happy.

The Spurs fans I was talking to yesterday predicted a 7th place finish and I'd find it hard to disagree with them.

    How have they ruined football?

Bolton played City and they didn't keel over as easily as you did, and gave City a proper game. As did Swansea up until the hour mark.

when there's an endless supply of money and a club can just buy and buy, how can it not ruin football? it eliminates all competition as other clubs just cannot compete. in the past there's always been the "big 4", but there was always a glimmer that somebody else could upset the party. they've taken business in football to a whole new level which has set a new benchmark for wages and purchases prices, even more ridiculous than it previously was.

Man city are class, they are playing great football and we were destroyed convincingly today. - fair play to them. this doesn't take away the fact that the obscene amounts of money they have has ruined competition in football.
