On par with the barrowclough, kulscar, scully side....devoid of any real potency and guile....these are indeed dark times regardless of our season being 'over' now...six wins in 20 odd games is relegation stuff over a 46 game season..
We've said this too many times over recent years but we have to wait until 10 games into next season before we decide where we are at. It is very sad and immensely frustrating but that's the pain, and occasional pleasure, of being a loyal supporter.
I think we have the worst squad since our league one days pre 2003. I wouldn't agree that our current squad is the worst since the 90's. I believe most of our players are good enough for the championship but at least half our starting 11 are not even close to being good enough for the Premiership. Lets judge JFH after he assembles his own squad - some way into next season.
We lack leadership on the pitch, the team needs to bring in two or three 'good pros' who know how to win at this level and can organise on the pitch. If we're gonna buy at League One level or lower we need to bring in better players than we did last summer. I don't foresee any great improvement until the balance of the team is right and it won't happen with the current squad, too many that aren't good enough...
Facto you are spot on and i have been saying this since JFH took over. I keep hearing "it's not his team', 'wait until next season', blah blah blah, but as i said yesterday he is not motivating players and we are getting worse week by week. How people can say we are playing better football is beyond me. It will be the same again next season if not worse.
I watched some football on sky via Kodi and have to say the championship seems to look very poor and the gulf between that and the premiership looks massive I often watch old QPR games and tbh the football back then is even worse at times it changed so much JFH has an way of making people believe he knows what he is doing but hasn't had the experience or success so it's another gamble The biggest thing that bugs me is TF coming out and saying he wants to follow the Leicester model well yippee but corporate words are fluff and his credit at QPR is nearly over I agree this current side does not look or feel like a Rangers side It's a complete joke and basically a complete **** up from start to finish I predict many more attempts but the outcome is failure You have Newcastle and Villa coming down and as they are massive clubs I expect both of them to return straight away so what of our plans? JFH and this current side will be lucky to finish 14th next year IMO Just say also we magically do well as a dream does anyone think we wouldn't just fail again because any team going up has to spend big and it has got a lot worse than 5 years ago IMO when we had a great core team and what did they do then We are a championship side until we get a better set of owners
Everyone knows only the massive massive clubs can succeed. The likes of QPR and Leicester are doomed.
Are we victims of our previous managers? JFH said this after the Reading game - "We have to look at more players who are 23, 24 or 25. I'm not saying we shouldn't sign a 30-year-old, but in the past few years too many players have come here to retire." (saw this on the BBC match review but his interview is also on a separate thread on our board) Sparky & Harry look to be the main culprits in raising our average playing age to that of a Darby & Joan appreciation society but is "looking for younger players" manager speak for "looking for cheap players"? Most of the older players that came here for their pension appear to have been moved on with the exception of Clint who looks like he'd stay on to water the pitch if he was asked to. Wouldn't a mixture of young and old be a better idea? The Man Utd team with Giggs, Beckham, Scholes etc were great but they had elder statesmen such as Bruce, Pallister and McClair there to give backbone and leadership. I am reminded of the old Alan Hansen adage "You don't win anything with kids". Worst team since the 90's? Very possibly but JFH has the potential to turn them into a team that will work for each other rather than a bunch of individual glory hunters. Look at where real teamwork has taken the likes of Bournemouth and Leicester.
he cant motivate and he dosnt know how to give warnock style rollockings hes useless lets get rid of ramsey ferdinand and jimmy floyde re instate blood and thunder on ta three year deal or re install holloway we need passionate managers to install desire this jimmy floyde is a joke washington is a waste of three million pound
Since Charlie's sale, there are few in squad that excite me - perhaps Chery at times. We need to keep searching for a decent strike force from the lower leagues, here and overseas. Does JFH have the skill to take us up to the top 6 next season? Not persuaded. But when I see ex-QPR player Simpson about to get a Premier League winners medal, and ex-QPR Delaney playing in the FA Cup Final, I realise what a conundrum football really is
We cannot do that Frome we can only go by his record so far which is 6 wins in 24. that's relegation fodder.
But that's what Facto has suggested in his OP, over a 46 game season it's relegation form, was just wondering if the stats confirmed that.
JFH has an average of 1.19 points per game at QPR. 6 wins 13 draws 7 losses, 26 games. If we use this figure as an average for a season then 1.19 x 46 = 54.7 points which would usually be about 14th - 16th in the league.
really Nines. Bloody hell i thought it was deffo relegation. But then saying that he does seem to draw a lot.
